Well said. It's just a matter of getting those players not playing in the MISL the exposure they need to give them that national team opportunity.

I am sure if 4 players came form the SFL and 4 from USFF and they were US Citizens and they played better Futsal then the MISL players he will take them no questions asked..
Now that is how I see Futsal is in this country! We have grown so quickly that we have 2 different National Associations, how many does Soccer have, USSF , US Club Soccer , US Youth Soccer, AYSO, Local City Recreational leagues, so why should Futsal be any different and only have one?
Keep playing FUTSAL and let’s all work on developing players that will only play FUTSAL , and Soccer will only be played for “FUN” for our FUTSAL players, that’s the goal for Futsal in the USA!
No one has to “qualify” to play in either of the 2 Largest Futsal “National” Tournaments, sign up early and pay the fees and you will be in a National Tournament, it is just that easy!

It looks like USFF will continue to have a following. There attempt
to "corner" the sport of futsal and control it is not something that
seems to bother many who have been involved. Although, I think that
US Soccer will ultimately win because 1) they will have control of the
National teams and the International competitions and 2) will provide
the best referee instruction, and 3)have access to the major
sponsorships and sporting goods companies; it appears that we will be
in for a period of time that things will have to settle. It appears
that the West Coast is going to be very supportive of the USFF. The
Midwest is supportive of the Super F League. The East coast has
supporters for both. Only a few see a reason to change what they are
already doing.
US Soccer is going to need to provide opportunities to its membership
by offering international competitions and an ODP style program. They
will have to earn the business.
Competition is good for both organizations as they must now earn the
business, neither should be entitled to it.

Good for you. Have fun trying to get into a US Soccer or FIFA sanctioned
tournament. USFF
is sanctioned by neither. And FYI, USFF struck the first blow by trademarking
"futsal," and
trying to force people to do things their way.

I see no reason to leave a US Futsal Federation sanctioned league.
My teams will not play for any other league unless it is with US
Futsal. The affiliation with US Soccer does not bother me a bit.
It's about the kids playing and having fun and thus developing
better soccer skills through futsal. The recent US Futsal National
Championship proved to me how far US Futsal has come in the past few
years. The level of play is getting better and better. I see no
reason to jump ship and affilaite with the any other league. There
are NO advantages with joing another league. Don't let politics get
in the way of your kids soccer/futsal development.
I am a new user to the Futsal On Line news group. I love futsal and
just found this site. It is full of great information. I was at
the recent US Futsal Federation National Championship in Anaheim and
it was fantastic. I saw another comment on this site about the
championship so figured I should voice my opinion.
My team(s) have qualified a few times from the state competition and
then to the regional competition and then on to the national
championship. This past national championship was the best futsal
competition I have ever attended. The competition is getting better
and better. I did not encounter any problems with the competition
registration. I presented my team's information (player passes and
roster) to the US Futsal Federation staff at registration. They
reviewed my information with the data they had on file and handed me
the passes for the competition.
The playing surface was spectacular. Te ball moved very well and
the players had good footing. Someone said it was a Snap Court
surface. I wish we could play on this surface all the time. My
players would just get better.
The Anaheim Convention Center looked great. The set up was very
professional and well done. We had a few balls go under the netting
hanging behind the goal but overall that did not pose a hazard for
anyone or delay the game. I'm sure that in Baltimore next year it
will look even better.
I felt everything went very well especially the competition. I
believe the coaches are learning the game thus transferring that
knowledge onto their players. I watched a U13 Boys match I believe
the team name was Magic Santos, the coach did a magnificent job
instructing his players and making the appropriate adjustments to
overcome a very good opponent. I learned a lot from watching him.
The refereeing was not the greatest but much better than the first
national championship I attended in Las Vegas. I have not attended
the championship every year since my teams have not always
qualified. But I have attended every year that they have qualified
and have seen a tremendous improvement in the overall organizational
structure to include referees. I did hear that several At-Large
teams were not accepted into the competition. That just shows US
Futsal's growth and the importance of doing well at the regional
competition.
I am personally very excited about the growth of Futsal and what US
Futsal has been able to accomplish over the past several years with
very little funding. There was not a big time sponsor at the
national championship like USYS and US Soccer have for all of their
events. I guess that's because the sport is still new and growing.
I did hear that a huge sponsor was getting ready to sign a lucrative
deal with US Futsal that would propel them in the direction they
vision themselves going. I hope that means their own national
teams?
I know that US Futsal and US Soccer have not seen eye to eye. But I
honestly see this as a good thing for the sport. I have seen US
Soccer destroy the youth game. US Futsal is doing just the
opposite. The kids love this game and US Futsal appear to be all
about the youth development and ensuring that they have fun without
getting politics involved. I'm sure they are dealing with a
tremendous amount of internal political struggles with US Soccer and
even FIFA but that struggle has not diminished the passion of the
game or filtered down to the kids. I saw that at the national
championship. It was fantastic.
So to US Futsal I say keep up the good work and do not lose the
passion of the game. I just hope my team(s) qualify for the
national championship in Baltimore next July. I can't wait for
another great competitive futsal event.
I'm not sure what benefits or service they would get out of the USFF at this point. The USFF previously had the advantage of controlling futsal in the U.S., and they no longer have that advantage. I would see a shift to the other organizations under FIFA. Futsal continues to gain popularity throughout the world, and it's just going to get bigger in the U.S.

dear sir
my question is about futsal rules:
in during substitution , a player that have yellow card from out of substitution area leave the pitch and substitute enter to pitch from substitution area.referee stop play after advantage and show 2th yellow card to that player and send of him with red card.the restart of play is with how many players?(please attend to this matter that the substitute enter to the pitch and play 1 minute before that referee stop play.)

Hello Mr. Sheldon,
Is there a resource that can point me towards a beginner's futsal team in my area (Chicago, Northside), or perhaps a resource to locate futsal facilities?
I really appreciate the help and apologize for bothering you.
Sure. But they are not hands on. They don't actually run soccer leagues nor will they run futsal leagues. They will sanction futsal leagues. They will provide support in developing a referee program. They will provide for the US National Futsal team. My point was that they will not provide direct support in the form of administration of a futsal league or competetions.

Here is the website that you can find all of US
Soccer's Board
Minutes. They have been discussing disputes with US Futsal for over a
year. Also, it was mentioned at the AGM last year. http://www.ussoccer.com/governance/bod/meeting.jsp.html
US
Soccer does not directly support futsal as it does not directly
support soccer. It will respond to those who would like to affiliate
and it will field a futsal national team and develop a futsal referee
program. To my knowledge the only futsal league affiliated with US
Soccer is the Super F League. It is possible that USYSA could begin a
futsal program as their agreement with US Futsal Federation regarding
the development of futsal is probably void. Now that USFF is out,
look for others to fill the void.

US Soccer's Board Minutes
Here are the official board minutes from US Soccer
verifying the
removal of the US Futsal Federation as an affiliated member. US
Futsal is also no longer affilated with FIFA.
I emailed US Soccer and asked them if USFF was still a member of US
Soccer. Here was their reply:
US Futsal Federation was removed from membership with US Soccer as of
December 31, 2006. If you have further questions, please feel free to
email me back or call me at 312-528-1230.

Dear Tim Sheldon,
I am Ottabek Madyarov, head specialist of Uzbekistan Futsal Association. I am pleased to know you as one of the most informed futsal specialists. Futsalonline.com is the most favorite Internet source for fresh futsal news.
I will be appreciative if you provide your suggestions regarding the following issue. At the moment Uzbekistan Futsal Association is about to launch the final stage of preparation for the upcoming important international
futsal tournaments, particularly Asian Futsal Championship to be held in Japan. In order to make the preparation for and participation in the competitions as successful as possible we are looking forward to inviting an experienced futsal coach to train our National Futsal Team during the upcoming three-months period.
Taking into consideration your awareness about the current state of affairs in the world of futsal I believe that you might know someone who could become a prospective coach for our team. This is why I would like to take this opportunity and ask you if you can suggest particular candidates who would like to work with Uzbekistan National Futsal Team. I apologize for creating this inconvenience for you, but you suggestions will be invaluable for us.
I thank you in advance and look forward to hearing from you.
See attached from person in Chicago interested in starting futsal facility and league.

I would like to know if you know of any plans or design for building a futsal complex? I’m trying to get the county that I live in to build a four court outdoor complex with lights. Any help would be great. Thank you Dan
I am against monopoly. I do support AMF and its right to exist. We are happy with our current arrangement as we are an affiliate league of US Soccer which like the US Futsal Federation affords us all rights of FIFA membership. US Soccer is not going to run futsal. If others want to start futsal programs, affiliate with US Soccer or do so in conjunction with member programs like USYSA they can do so. The Super F League isn't going to be the only affiliated league or futsal option.

Paul,
What if Futsal became like soccer and was
ran by the current outdoor soccer association would you really disband the
Super F league and become members of the Kansas State Association and comply
with their bylaws and operate under them? Or would you just be happy to be the “AYSO”
(an affiliated league) of Futsal in US Soccer or would you want to be US
Soccer\Futsal?
What is your position in the Super F?

I would guess that we would do what is necessary to comply.
However, just like US Soccer doesn't specifically run any program in soccer
(other than the men's national time, I think) , I don't think its their intent
to run futsal.
Super F is an affiliated member of US Soccer through its association with
USSSA. This is not an insurance company. Any more than USYSA is an
insurance company. It does provide player, coaches and referee
insurance as a part of the dues.
US Soccer allows many, many organizations to affiliate such as USYSA, Super Y
League, MLS, AYSO, etc. See link: http://www.ussoccer .com/about/ soccer/index. jsp.html
Each affiliated league agrees to abide by certain terms and conditions.

But will the Super F comply with USSF and stop being the super f
league and run it’s program under the Kansas State Assoc. if it works out to be
that way?
Or will it just be an affiliated member through its insurance
company which is fine but it is not like you are due paying members what is the
cost to be a
“proud member” of the USSF? $90,000 plus per year?

I know that Super
F has worked with USSF to help develop a better referree
program. They are committed to US Soccer and FIFA. The
Super F League is affiliated with US Soccer now through USSSA and the
relationship is fine from what I understand.
Speaking only for
myself, I would like to see US Soccer bring its tremendous resources to develop
the sport of Futsal in the United
States . This can only be a good thing
for the sport.

Will the Super F league join the USSF’s newly created division of US
Soccer’s “Futsal” program if that is the direction the USSF will take with
Futsal? Or will you just stay affiliated with the USSF through your insurance
company? Will the leadership give up all it’s created to become a “State
representative” for the USSF and run their program through your local Kansas outdoor soccer
league and be subject to their bylaws? Would the Super F ever consider holding
its’ National Championships outside the State of Kansas ? These questions are asked not
to obtain answers but to just create some thoughts, so please do not feel
obligated to answer them.
Should Futsal be run by the USSF? From what I been told in Brasil
the outdoor soccer CBF is totally separated from the Futsal and its National
team and program, they have different crest or badges on their chest, different
sponsors, and are 2 different organizations. Should this be the case for Futsal
in the USA or should it be operated and subjected to USSF and their local State
Associations for soccer and Futsal?
Interesting how this will all play out what is the “best situation”
for the sport of Futsal in order for it to grow and to operate with our
National Outdoor Soccer Association?

I know
you want a relationship with FIFA. I guess you have two
choices: Get Alex to comply with FIFA's demands while you are still a
member. Or leave Alex. Since you are already a member, you can
influence Alex. After that, you have to deal with the rest of us who
are not USFF members and risk those "cease and desist" letters and
being sued.
