The Fort Myers Miracle started the season strong on Friday, sweeping a
doubleheader from the Sarasota Reds, 4-0 and 8-2, in Sarasota.

The Minnesota Twins' Florida State League team's opener was rained out on
Thursday.

Matt Moses, the Twins' first-round pick in 2003, had a pair of homers.

Errol Simonitsch threw five shutout innings in the opener. Moses had a
two-run homer in the sixth.

In the nightcap, the Miracle fell behind, but erupted for six runs in the
second, all with two out. Matt Tolbert drove in two runs, Ben Pattee and Moses
each singled in one, and Brock Peterson capped the rally with a two-run triple.

The two teams meet tonight in the home opener for the Miracle, starting at
7:05 p.m.
