Hello everyone:

I spent a few days in St Augustine last week researching the 1892 Florida
State League. The season, in fact did open on Feb 12, but the St Augustine "
Tatler" and the Jacksonville "Record-Times Union" (which, by the way, was by
far, one of the hardest papers ever to read on a reader) gave very little
insighr into league games after the first few days.
The Ocala "Banner" was of no use due to the paper skipping about 3 weeks
from January to late February. So all that leaves is Tampa, the 4th
franchise. Os there anyone out there who lives in the Tampa area and has
researched the 1892 Florida State League?
Thank you.

Jerry Jackson (SABR Minor League Research Committee)
