One hit was all the Fort Myers Miracle could muster Thursday night at the Lee
County Sports Complex as they lost 6-0 to the Dunedin Blue Jays.
Ron Perodin collected the lone Miracle hit with an infield single in the
fourth inning. He hit a bouncer over the mound that was fielded by Blue Jay
second
baseman Ryan Roberts.
The Miracle wound up with just four base runners, Perodin's hit and three
walks. They had one man reach as far as second, when Scott Whitrock walked in
the
second and stole second.
Blue Jay starter Mike MacDonald hurled seven innings allowing one hit while
walking two and striking out six.
The Blue Jays got all the runs they needed in the third with David Smith's
RBI single and Eric Arnold's RBI double.
Miracle starter Scott Tyler tossed five innings, allowing two runs on six
hits while walking one and striking out four.
The same two teams meet at 7:05 tonight. The Miracle send right-hander Adam
Harben (0-0, 3.86 ERA) against Blue Jays LHP Kurt Isenberg (0-0, 9.00).
