Nomar Dreams Of Finishing Career With Red Sox
Hard to prove a negative. It is certainly possible Nomar did
steriods, but you leave out one of the most valid inferences - many high
performing players from the 1990's and beyond have been proven to have used
steroids or other PED's.We weren’t discussing other players and that is not germane to
the discussion. What is germane is that it is a common side effect of roids
for a user to be irritable and exhibit behavior not normally attributed to
the person. At this time, No one can say for certain that Nomar was a roid
user. What one can fairly say is
that toward the end of his tenure in Boston Nomar engaged in behavior not
normally seen from him. Was it Mia or roids?
You tend to throw a lot of cow sh*t on the barn door. There you go again, getting
personal.. what I post is cow sheeeet and what you post is water from the
Holy Grail.. I get it… What I also get is when people can’t
discuss without hurling insults they lose the discussion. OK
Nomar's body and possibly his injuries may indicate the use of steroids, but
what "bizarre" injuruiesFirst,
his Achilles injury just magically appeared… must have done that
getting up off the can at Mia’s house eh? and
"bizarre" behaviourrather than write a doctoral thesis perhaps
it would be helpful for you to review the entire saga during the last 3 to 6
months of Nomar’s return from injury and contract negotiations. Please don’t
pretend like you are not aware of all the nonsense that occurred.and responses are you
talking about? The Nomar I saw every day was mild-mannered, quiet
and level-headed guy. I never saw anything "bizarre" about Nomar,
except maybe his nose ('roids?). This
is what most frurstrated, wannabe shut-ins hated about Nomar, his
"attitude". Again, your insults make you lose the discussion.
Same with Manny. I either had trashed the dougout after a strikeout,
maybe some would like them more. Does nothing for me.
Unreasonable contract position? I'm glad he didn't take the contract,
but the Sox offered him a contract, Nomar's agent engaged in negotiations as
is the norm, and the Sox pulled the offer. That is unreasonalbe. Funny how we
heard all about this contract negotiation from Luccino, while the supposed
policy is not to discuss contract issues. FunnyNeither
one of us truly knows what transpired in the negotiation process. All we do
know is what was reported by mouthpieces and agents. The fact that he
was offered $60 mill for 4 years seems a fairly reasonable belief. It is just
as reasonable to say that the Red Sox had an arbitrary maximum amount that
they were going to pay Nomar. When Nomar’s agent turned that down, with
a counter offer (and we do not know what the counter offer was now do we?
What if it was for 100 million?) I don’t have a chapped ass because
contract negotiations didn’t work out. I DO HAVE A CHAPPED ASS
TOWARD NOMAR FOR QUITTING ON HIS TEAM YOU CAN BELIEVE HE DID NOT……
I BELIEVE HE DID. . And that is coming from 12 years of high school and
military baseball and over 3,000 games umpired.

LOL, Nomar’s bizarre behavior screamed roids…
his sudden bulking up for the infamous SI Cover screamed roids. His sudden and bizarre injuries screamed roids.
His unreasonable position in contract negotiations screamed roids. His change
in temperament to become erratic in what he said to media screamed
roids. His sulking in the dug out screamed roids…. His bizarre
method of responding to team management concerning the Achilles heal injury
screamed roids… his bizarre responses to Boston media during his honeymoon
screamed roids
Maybe Nomar did not do roids.. we may never know for sure.. but
the laws of probability suggest otherwise.

Ok then,
I don't believe for a minute that
Nomar was on steroids. Everything I ever read while he was with the Sox
told me that he had an amazing work ethic when he played with the Sox. Boot
camp type workouts in the off season.
I think he Felt hurt when he didn't get the support from
Boston that
he thought he deserved.

Does he LOOK like a juicer? WTH is that question for? You start out
defending him, then there's that little implication. Are you suspicious of
anyone who gets hurt now? I'd like to see this group suddenly come to life in
response to the steriod claim.
