Since he left, Nomah learned to play 1B and 3B. If the Sox ever needed a
supersub, he could be the one, even only for a stretch drive at the end of his
career. Plus, Mia Hamm would rival Jennifer Garner for hottest Fenway fan.

BTW, I'd like to think that Nomah helped break the Bambino curse. I'm not
convinced that Orlando Cabrera was an upgrade at SS. IMHO, the 2005 season seems
to support that.

with his departure and the subsequent WS championship, we finally learned it
takes a team to win a title, not a star or two. Ask Yaz, Clemens, etc. It wasn't
Nomar's fault the Sox had to start Kent Merker and a hurt Saberhagen against the
Yankees in the playoffs.
