I think that just about everyone here not only wants the Red Sox to
win the ALEast, we also want the Yanks to miss out on the Wild Card
(thus missing out on the postseason alltogether!). Well, since the
Red Sox are playing the other Wild Card contenders right now(and will
be, thru 9/8), our wins are coming at their expense. In other words,
while we're in the process of taking the ALEast title from the Yanks,
we're simultaneously _helping_ them secure the ALWC!

Say, for example, that the Red Sox win every game between now and
9/8. That'll most likely mean that we'll be leading the ALEast race
at that point. HOWEVER, since all of those wins will have come vs
either the Angels, A's, or Rangers, it'll prolly also mean that the
Yanks'll be leading the ALWC race at that point as well, and prolly
by a healthy 3-5 game margin too.
