Weekend doubles would be really cool. That format is very popular at other courses. You sound like the perfect guy to run it. Some courses don't do it every weekend, but do a once a month doubles tourney. Talk to the guys and see who is in. People are often around more durning the weekend when the cooler months come around. There will be periodic cycling races on Sundays throughout the Fall and Winter, so a schedule of when Dickweed will be out there doing his thing would be helpful.
Remember that at least half of your doubles crew will be on the road tourning every two to three weeks starting the middle of November through the beginning of April. If you do run an event, setting it around the weekends we are tourning will give you your best turnout.
