I've been part of this group for a while now and I guess it's time to
give my first contribution.  I recently discovered a service that
sends you videos through email of the goals of your favorite teams.
I've signed up and I must say I'm really impressed, whenever my teams
play, I receive their goals the next day - and the videos are really
good quality!  I've already started my video collection.  Well,

i had a blast in boston! the freedom didn't play very well but the
stadium was awesome and it was just a good time. some of the breakers
fans seemed to be quite displeased with my sign "freedom rock it like
WHOA! go jen and anne". Some yelled at me to go sit at the top of the
stadium and others shot me some harsh looks but fortunately i did not
get into a disagreement with the mascot. i can't wait for the rematch
here at home (tommorrow). it should be a great game. i love the
impact steffi has made already and yes, i KNOW i may be biased
but...jen grubb is just getting better. her defense is seriously
close to impenetrable and i think her match ups with prinz, meinert
and mellgren will put on quite a show this wednesday. lets see how
lilly plays too. i am sure she is hurting from the missed pk last
time they met the freedom. also, i SO hope anne starts this one. she
was making the most spectacular run against philly and her teammates
didn't see her until almost the end of the game. when they finally
did pass it to her she set up abby for like the most perfect goal
(abby just messed it up). so anne, keep up the good work! you're
awesome and just keep makin that wonderful run! good luck freedom!

  I know you said you were going there last weekend. Then big soccer
like erased all your posts on it. And now it's just taking too
frickin long to load anything on there. SO! I've decided to come here
and ask you! How'd it go up there? Did the breaker fans jump you for
being the sole freedom fan?? Details hun!

OMG how bad was the game vs. Phili?  Like all of the players got
injured.  I was so p*ssed at that one Mitts chic who took out Jacqui
Litte.  And then Skyler got hurt.  And the some other girl got hurt.
And then Abby got hurt.  I was like, OMG. but im a San Jose fan,
cuz.. well thats were im from but i follow all of the Santa Clara
players...Little.  So anyway i just wanna say that i personally
thought that Phili played horribly, and were just out to injure the
players.  and u cant say that when J Little got injured that it was
Unintentional. cuz she meant to injure her.

and mo on the PK called for abby's fall. in order, the scorers were
jaqui (the one that hit the post and went in), abby (from the great
pass from skylar) and then abby tripped in the box and the ref called
a pk. this somewhat questionable call probably was to make up for the
called back goal from pu wei...no way in hell was she offside.
     Philly should be an interesting game. they are GOOD. if the same
freedom team that played in San Diego plays in philly then we should
be good but you can never really tell with the freedom. my fingers
are crossed.
    I can't wait until the doubleheader! for a soccer fanatic like
myself, two games in one night is great. freedom are gonna tear it
up..i know it...like WHOA! go JEN and ANNE!

3-0!  hell yea baby!  Jacqui, Abby and oh darn! I forget who else it
was. Some fan I am..=( can't even remember who scored. Oh well. Go
Freedom! I'm finally going a game this season! May
18th. I want to see the Courage get whooped by the Freedom!

Abby Kicked BUTT!! she was AWESOME!!! I'm so proud of the UF
prodigy!!! I think she'll do GREAT things for the USWNT!!!!

as for the Freedom well they are my second favourite so as long as
she does none of that scoring against the Beat!;)

I finally saw the game!! =) and being the only Atlanta beat Fan in my
household I was mos def pleased with that game! Atlanta is a bunch of
thugs! But I wouldn't have them any other way. =) Go serlenga!

yeah it was a great game though. i really think that siri could have
gotten it but hey, the freedom have nothing to be ashamed of. they
created chances and played some pretty good defense. hooper is always
danerous and she is a great player...it's just bad luck for the
freedom. sweet game to watch

What's this? Atlanta Won? Hooper scored? =) eh... I don't know. I was
out and didn't see it.

this is a special message for anna: what anna...the hawks are better
than the atoms?! i think not. we came into YOUR house tonight and
there are only two words that can describe the game: TOTAL
DOMINATION. ha we ran you guys in circles. unfortunately the score
doesn't quite describe the way the game actually went....we had some
bad shots...nevertheless, the final score was 11-3. in your FACE
anna! A-N-N-A-N-D-A-L-E  A-T-O-M-S OH YES CUZ WE ARE THE BEST!!!
     in truth, we really liked playing you guys because they hung
tough the whole game. i must say, they were worthy opponents but
since our coach couldn't come to the game due to a personal tradgedy
we had to play extra well. too bad for yoooouuuuu. :)

hey!! I finally saw a tape of the game! omg! freedom was like on fire
against c'rays! I cannot wait to see the next game. Even though I'm
am a beat fan! I think freedom might win this one.

we won we won we won we WON! HA!!!! i am so happy. it was a fabulous
game...very wet, very physical, but great all the same. the freedom
played great D and had some amazing chances offensively. If they had
capitalized on their corners the score would have been much higher
considering they had about a trillion corners. jen floats them into
the box very nicely, usually right to anne or abby's head but they
never seem to work out. i am sure they will fix that at some point
though. Both of the freedom's goals were awesome. abby made a very
unselfish play right to beard who scored the game winner. it was a
beauty. pu wei tore things up in the box, shot, served up the rebound
from her shot off beene right to an onrushing J. Little for the
freedom's first goal of the game. it was sweeeeeet. the crays goal
wan't quality. frenchie one timed a sloppy clear from moore and
slotted it in far post but i think, with a more experienced
goalie...it wouldn't have been a goal. damn almost got it and i think
the wet field played a part in her not getting there in time. she
didn't dive and if she had it wouldn't have gone in. ah well...they
pulled off the win and thats whats important. i need to go but i just
wnated to share my enthusiasm! watch out atlanta the freedom are
gonna come and rock herndon stadium like whoaaaaa

well i don't think you should be glad you didn't see it...it wasn't
THAT bad. The mistakes the freedom made are VERY fixable and i really
have confidence that they will do better this season. The first 30
minutes of the game was GREAT. The freedom had their way with the
power and the goal Monica Gerardo scored was a beauty. The defense
was awesome as well. Jen did a great job of organizing the back and
all the defenders were playing solidly. The downfall of the Freedom,
I think, is the conversion to long ball services. All of a sudden
they stopped making quick, short passes and changed to long ball
services from the back to the forwards. This caused Anne and Mo to be
eliminated from the plays really...BIG mistake.
      I am more than a little upset to see that people are all of a
sudden calling Jen a bad leader because the team lost. The game
didn't go their way at all the second half but i don't think that
people should be dumping it on Jen's shoulders. I mean really
people...do we really need to blame ONE person?! It couldn't be that
the whole team just didn't click. No one on the team had a
particularly good game so i think we should all take a step back and
give the Freedom a few games to get things going. Everyone should
keep in mind that a bunch of their starters are injured as well.
People have failed to recognize that Jen was a leader last year...she
just didn't get any credit for it. If you watch her, she is always
talking...this isn't a new thing for her.
     I am NOT that optimistic about the game this sunday i must say.
The crays are such a good team...totally loaded with awesome players.
I am hoping to see a good fight though.
      Yes Anna, our game against the Hawks was cancelled. You guys
apparently just weren't ready for us. I will let you know when the
reschduled game is so you can come see us beat you guys into the
dirt. that's right...the hawks will lose.

dang I come back to find that the power ran over the freedom then
backed up and did it again! Geez... I'm so glad I didn't see that
game. I want a total PBP about the match later!! and the about abby's
family! BTW who scored the lone goal for freedom???

Oh and it's about 5 minutes did your match starts Tor. News on the
band trip was it got rescheduled cuz almost everyone was on the trip.
Plus I got sun poisoning and major dehydration.  SO even if this game
happens I don't know if I could drag my body on a bike and get up
there. sorrie hun.

well damn is all i have to say about that. they started out strong
but then it kinda went down hill...ok, it REALLY went down hill.
Although Abby didn't score, i was still impressed with her. She did
make some significant mistakes but overall she had some amazing
moves. I happened to meet like her entire family and i must say, her
grandmother is very nice. both of the chinese players didn't do
anything particularly great either. Jen's corners were awesome...she
got the ball right to anne or abby everytime...it was sweet.For those
of you that think this is a bad sign; let's all remember that this is
just the first game and we are missing a bunch of players still so i
am still totally optimistic. We'll get 'em next time! go freedom!

HOME OPENER TOMMORROW!!! woo hoo! i am psyched! i have a good feeling
about this game and hey, it can't hurt that Jen will be wearing the
captains band!For all of you dense people: it's at RFK Stadium
saturday at 7...be there! I hope everyone is either tuning in or
going to the game. it's gonna be fun! remember everyone: the freedom
are gonna rock the power like whoa!

anyone goin to the game this saturday?! i am all psyched about it
already. Everyone who can should go because the tickets are only 8-10
dollars and the proceeds go to the breast cancer foundation. I think
the game will be a good one. For those of you that don't know, the
freedom will be playing UNC at the maryland sportsplex at 7:15. hope

the 18 player roster was announced...FINALLY! it may come as a
surprise that Roseli was cut. i'm not too shocked and i think it was
a pretty good decision. what i am wondering is...who is gonna go when
steffi comes to town?! i am a little sad that rigamat didn't make it
but i'm not too surprised. hey as long as jen, anne and stoecker
don't get cut i will be happy.
