"They're very explosive on the attack," Krikorian
said. "Any team that has players like Pretinha and Mia
Hamm, and Milburn, and Roseli, and Makinen, and Bai
Jie-take your pick-has all the weapons to be dangerous
from a whole lot of different angles and different
places, so we're going to have to deal with their
attack." <br><br>Freedom head coach Jim Gabarra is
concerned with the attack as well -- how his team will
respond to the offensive pressure offered by the Charge.
Even without English national team veteran Kelly
Smith, Philly can net goals, and defenders Skylar
Little, Lindsay Stoecker, and Emmy Barr will have their
hands full. <br><br>Not only that, but Philadelphia has
also proven to be quite versatile. Nine different
players have scored the 10 goals the Charge have earned
since the season's start. <br><br>"It's not like most
teams, where you can pinpoint one of their players and
say, 'If you stop her or limit her production, you're
going to have a good chance of winning,'" Gabarra said.
"They're a disciplined team and they're going to work
hard." <br><br>Another thing he admitted his team needed
to address was finishing. For example, in last
Sunday's 2-1 win against the New York Power, the Freedom
took 12 shots, including seven on goal, and were only
able to put two in the back of the net in the
stoppage-time victory. <br><br>Against a team like
Philadelphia, which plays a possession-oriented style similar
to Washington's, Gabarra said his team has to have a
better conversion ratio. <br><br>"They're not like some
of the other teams we've played like Carolina and
New York, who are very direct," he explained.
"They're a team who wants to possess the ball, like us.
They're also very strong, so it's going to be a physical
challenge for us as well." <br><br>In the end, he said
victory will be determined by whichever team can
capitalize on the chances received. <br><br>"It'll be
whichever team can do a better job at not only creating
chances, but putting them away as well," Gabarra said.
"We've done a good job of creating chances, but we
haven't done a great job of putting away the many we've
had. I think Philly's got a better success rate at
scoring in less chances. They get five chances, they
might just score three goals."
