Brad Ference will serve the first game of a two-game suspension
Wednesday vs. Pittsburgh and Lance Ward is not ready to return from a
concussion. He hopes to be able to return to the line up by Friday.
Defenseman Rocky Thompson was sent back to Hershey of the American
League to make way for winger Joey Tetarenko, who returned from a
back injury. Winger Ivan Novoseltsev, did not practice due to a sore
back. Center Ryan Johnson participated in his first full practice
since suffering a concussion Dec. 22 and said he still hopes to play
before the April 14 season finale.
