The run today wiped me out so no way that I'm running 10+ tomorrow.  Enjoy your run and hopefully I'll see you next Saturday.

Thanks Dennis, but  I'm going to run in my neighborhood on Sunday. I'd like to do 10+ miles if I feel good and I know you'll be doing a hard run on Sat. and probably won't feel like another 10.  I'll try to get down to FF next Sat. to run with the group.

I'm planning on doing 14 or so with Fred, Manfred and Eric on Saturday.  I'll probably do somewhere between 5 and 8 on Sunday but it will be pretty slow.  I can meet you at the store at 8:00-8:15 of you want.

Andy,

Considering the expected temperature and humidity tomorrow I don’t feel like running hard.  We are planning to run 14 miles, leaving the store at 7:00 am.  You are more than welcome to join us.  After this week the weekly mileage is increasing quite a bit, so this Sunday is probably my last opportunity to goof off.  No running for me on Sunday, I am planning a bike ride.

Manfred

Subject: Fwd: Navy petty officer Mike Monsoor

PO2 (EOD2) Mike Monsoor, a Navy EOD Technician, was awarded theCongressional Medal of Honor posthumously for jumping on a grenadein Iraq giving his life to save his fellow Seals.

During Mike Monsoor's funeral in San Diego, as his coffin was being
moved from the hearse to the grave site at Ft. Rosecrans National
Cemetery, SEALs were lined up on both sides of the pallbearers?
route forming a column of two's, with the coffin moving up thecenter. As Mike's coffin passed, each SEAL, having removed his
gold Trident from his uniform, slapped it down embedding the
Trident in the wooden coffin. The slaps were audible from acrossthe cemetery; by the time the coffin arrived grave side, it looked as though it had a gold inlay from all the Tridents pinned to it.
This was a fitting send-off for a warrior hero.

This should be front-page news instead of the crap we see every day.

Since the media won't make this news, I choose to make it news byforwarding it onto you guys. I am damn proud of our military. Ifyou are proud too, please pass this on.? If not then rest assured
that these fine men and women of our military will continue toserve and protect.

There are several of us that run a more "deliberate" pace.  Don't be intimidated by the ones that say they run faster, they are just bragging.  We actually are a good bunch of people and just like to run.  Most of us however either run in the evening or later morning (for those of us that are retired).  We also have big group runs on Saturday at 7 or 7:30 if you are so inclined.

(Maybe they meant to say they run AT 7-730 rather that run 7-730 pace!!)

If you are considering the 2008 Chicago Marathon and you have not registered yet you should do so right now.  Their email newsletter from today is saying that  “Registration for the 2008 Bank of America Chicago Marathon is rapidly approaching its 45,000 participant capacity. Only a few thousand open entries are still available. If you are interested in participating in the 2008 event, we encourage you to register now before the field is full.”

It is amazing; back in 2002 they closed registration around August (if I remember correctly), now they are almost full in April.

So hurry up.

Hi everyone!

I hope you're all doing well. Fred, Manfred, Eric and I are doing a relay for the Derby marathon and are looking for 1 more runner. If anyone wants to participate in the Derby and is not running the mini or marathon, this is a fun way to do so. We are running for fun and do not care what time you run. The relay legs are 5km, 10km and 12km.

My e-mail list is old and I know there are alot of new runners out there. Please pass the word around!

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to let you know that there is a wonderful article in the
Oldham County Era newspaper today on Harry. They talk about his work
with the fire department and his qualifying for Boston. There are 2
great pictures of Harry too! If you have a chance, check it out.

Harry, I haven't seen you in awhile. Congrats!

Ande
