Bill,
I had looked at this relay a while ago. It really seems to
be interesting; I am not aware of any race like this anywhere in this area. You
normally have to travel long distance to participate in 200 mile relays;
actually, I am only aware of one other, the one where Dean Karnazes ran the
whole distance by himself (a one-man relay team). As much fun as it
promises to be, I believe it also requires a lot of organizing; it will be a
logistical challenge. And it will not be cheap, either. You will
need a good size RV to accommodate 12 runners for two full days (and nights);
plus supplies, plus, plus, plus.
At the end, my fall marathon collided with these dates, so I
really did not start pursuing it seriously.
