Thanks, Manfred!
Yes, I missed by about 4 minutes and 6 seconds. Drats. I got a
little behind at the first and couldn't make it up. I did manage to
drop a 1 to 1 1/2 minutes the last six miles, but alas, I guess
watching for gators just distracted me! We did see one on our walk
back to our villa. It was as long as a Ford sitting on a lagoon bank
waiting to eat unsupecting runners! We headed back to our digs
(fast), where we celebrated with champagne and chocolate!
Kiawah was so beautiful and the post race parties were great! We are
definitely going to do it again, either the half or the full. I
can't wait to tell ya all about it. And I WILL be on time for our
regular run on Sunday. Either 6 or 8 miles. Nothing really long!
I've been lounging and eating way too much this past week. The
Hangover Run is just two weeks away! :)
See ya Sunday!
Tammy
