For those taking part please read the following:

Dear all,

Many thanks for your club entry and thanks for all of the hard work that you have put in organising the teams. We are well over our self imposed limit of 60 teams (70 teams entered to date!) which may cause problems with parking on race day especially at the 2nd changeover at Callis Bridge. Please try to car share as much as possible, park responsibly in the area and avoid this changeover as a spectator viewpoint.

We have increased the prize list to reflect the spread of entries (first 3 teams in each of the cats, Open, Vets, Ladies and Mixed) although no prize for the first B team as there are very few B teams entered.

Please note that for the first time this year that there are (downloadable) individual written leg route descriptions on the relay website which may assist your runners when out on a leg recce. These can be found on the Route Description page on the Relay Website.

I am desperate to get back the Provisional teams sheets from you as soon as possible so that I can enter the names on our results database prior to race day. As soon as you have what you think is going to be your team please send me the form back (in the envelope provided) any minor changes can then be made on race day when you hand in your final team sheet at registration. (700 names to be typed in with my typing skills doesn't bear thinking about so please help by getting the Provisional team sheet back to me asap).

Please ensure that all of your runners are fully conversant with all of the rules especially with regard to kit which has to be worn or carried. Given the time of year and the nature of the event we will be doing kit checks and we will be strict (we disqualified one of our own teams last year for a kit infringement!).

We hope that you enjoy your day out on the Mary Towneley Loop, most of the information about the event can be found on the relay website but if you have any queries or worries please contact me.
