Grizz Lose 5 In A Row   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #43 of 349 |

The Grizz, in an apparent reversion to their old ways, have gone
on a 5-game losing streak here at the end of December. The losses
have been against: Sacramento Kings, the Knicks (?!?!),
Nuggets, "New Orleans" Hornets and the Mavericks. Whether they are
truly headed back to the basement or this is just a temporary slump
remains to be seen. Their current .500 record, again, would be the
class of the Atlantic Division (which has so many losing
organizations, guess if other NBA teams are winning someone has to
do the losing, right now it's mostly in the Atlantic) but in their
own very competitive division it's not good enough. The San Antonio
Spurs, after a slow start, are back on top...Funny that the
Grizzlies can beat the Nets twice yet have so much trouble with some
of the seemingly lesser opponents (I don't mean the Kings, obviously
they can be tough for anyone other than the Lakers to defeat).

One positive thing is that one of the local Hispanic stations
often has Grizz highlights, perhaps because of Pau Gasol. They have
mentioned Mike Miller and also showed one of Stromile Swift's
sweeping one-handed dunks.
