As mentioned in the previous post, Michael Dickerson recently
retired. Sorry to see him go, he was one of the last two players
still around from the Vancouver days. But Dickerson was injured so
often the last couple of years, he didn't get to play much in
Memphis. Now it's just Stromile Swift, "Stro," the swift one, the
only Vancouver Grizz left currently on the team. Funny that Swift
isn't really old yet he's a veteran in that respect. Another
interesting Grizz is Wright, a Memphis native who also played college
ball there. Likely one of the few who's actually looked forward to
playing NBA ball in Memphis (and to get away from the Clippers).
Tonight the Grizz (5-4) play the Detroit Pistons. They take a 3-
game winning streak into the game, last season (or the season before
IIRC) they didn't even have 3 wins at this point...forget a streak
(except a losing one). Hubie Brown vs. Larry Brown. Darko Milicic vs.
the team that might have drafted him. Who will win? We shall see.
