The target of the Italian champions is 23-year-old Christopher Samba, who
only moved to Ewood Park last season from in a bargain £400,000 transfer
from German side Hertha Berlin.

The Congo international – born in France – has won many admirers since
moving to England due to a string of impressive performances, and Mark
Hughes would be reluctant to lose him.

However, Inter are believed to be huge fans of Samba, and will test the
water at the Lancashire club by offering a fee of around £5million for the
player when the transfer window reopens.
