*Champions Inter Milan Find Spent Bullet Case In The Mail*
**
Serie A title holders Inter Milan have received a letter containing threats
and a spent bullet case at their headquarters in downtown Milan, La Gazzetta
dello Sport reported Thursday.
The envelope, which was mailed from Florence on March 13 and was delivered
the following day, also contained lead pellets.
Investigators said they consider it "a low-profile threat, not linked to
terrorism or common crime."
Inter have received a long series of hostile messages since a sports court
assigned them the 2005-2006 title, stripping it from Juventus at the end of
a wide match-fixing trial involving also AC Milan, Fiorentina, Lazio and
Reggina.
Inter president Massimo Moratti declined to comment on the event. Luca
Pancalli, the president of Italian football federation (Italian football
federation (FIGC)), said he called Moratti, finding him "calm but, of
course, a little perplexed."
