Andreolli favoured over Bojinov 12-Jan-2007
Torino insist they are more likely to sign Inter's Marco Andreolli than
Juventus striker Valeri Bojinov.
The Nerazzurri youngster could leave the San Siro on a loan deal and Torino
have joined Newcastle and Marseille in the chase to sign him.
*"I spoke to President [Massimo] Moratti before the Christmas break and he
promised me that if Inter were to loan out the player, we would be
privileged,"* said Cairo.
Forgotten Juve starlet Bojinov, who is not a regular starter with the
Bianconeri, has been heavily paired with a move to city rivals Torino too,
but Cairo believes that a transfer is unlikely.
*"We have many good players upfront like Elvis Abbruscato and Roberto Muzzi.
We are not interested in Bojinov's loan and I think his arrival is highly
improbable.*
*"The club wants to exploit the players who are already part of the squad.
Abbruscato for example has not had enough chances to shine, also because of
the tactical system used by the Coach."*
The Toro chief also reacted to speculation linking the club with more
possible buys and sales this month.
*"Francesco Coco and Aparecido Cesar are not Inter players who we are
interested in,"* added the President.
*"Alessandro Rosina? His contract with us expires in 2009 and we will
discuss an extension in the next few days. *
*"We are interested in keeping him here and I believe this relationship can
last for some time in the future."*
Club sporting director Doriano Tosi also confirmed that key players Stefano
Fiore and Simone Barone will not leave town, despite recent rumours.
*"I want to dismiss all the whispers involving Barone. We have two or three
players that we plan to sell, but we will keep our key men and that includes
Fiore,"* he stated.
