Hi all,
Brian and I sat down with the input we received and came up with a
tentative line-up and meet schedule. I think no one is swimming
back-to-back events, and at most you either swim 2 individual events and
2 relays, or 3 individual events and one relay. This may change if we
get a few "maybes" that commit, people request different events, etc..
But, here it is at current, please let us know if you are highly
dissatisfied with what we put together.
200 medley relay
A - aaron, jon, jal, doug
B - jeanette, sam, melissa, robbie
C - brian, kimberly, scott lemley, dave l
500 f - jal, drew, robbie
100 br - jon, steve, sam
50 fl - bob, melissa, kevin
100 f - drew, dave h, dave l
50 ba - brian, jeanette, aaron
100 im - bob, steve, doug
15 minute break with fun events
100 fl - bob, dave h, kevin
100 ba - aaron, brian, jeanette
50 br - jon, kimberly, robbie
200 im - jon, drew, brian
200 f - jal, dave h, steve
200 free relay
A - steve, doug, drew, dave h
B - robbie, jal, dave l, melissa
C - jeanette, bob, kevin, sam
In both cases we tried to stack the A relay and make the B and C relays
even.
I have attached this in spreadsheet form if you like looking at it that way.
Leading candidates for the fun events are currently "brick diving" and
"underwater relay"
As I understand them, official rules for brick diving (maximum distance
diving with brick from blocks):
1. Both hands must remain on brick throughout dive.
2. No propulsive movements once diver has entered the water.
3. Each diver gets 3 dives, take maximum distance dive.
4. Diver is disqualified if they float with the brick.
Underwater relays would be 4 swimmers each, each swimmer does a 25
underwater to wall after dive.
I am going to advocate for a 9:30 a.m. official start time, with the
pool open for warmup at 8:30 a.m.
Finally, if it's okay with y'all, we'll have a voluntary suggested
admission of 5 bucks for spectators, with proceeds going towards getting
a small, 4 speaker (2 upstairs, 2 on deck), actual PA system for the pool .
So, please get back with me if you have any thoughts.
Robbie
