2007 registration is 'good' from 11/1/2006 through 12/31/2007.  

Registration allows you:

1) to have your official swim times considered for the record book (state,
>national, world, etc.),

2) receive a fine master's swimming publication (http://www.usmsswimmer.com/),

3) invoke insurance and a bunch of other good reasons (http://www.usms.org/reg/content/benefits).
