Hi all,
Apparently I "volunteered" to handle the paperwork and collect the money
for our illustrious swim team. So, in the exercise of doing that,
please send me your name, email, phone number, and university
affiliation if you have any (alumni, faculty, or student). We need a
minimum number of 7 in order to qualify as a student organization.
Also, Tyrone occasionally decides to shake down people to see if they
are on the roster before he'll let them into practice. You may be
thinking that because you are receiving this email that I must have your
email address; in fact, the yahoo service is set up so that you can sign
up for the listserve but your email is not revealed to everyone.
Secondly, we need cash and we need members. I will be out of town this
Saturday through next Saturday, but I'll leave the money bag with
someone, so please pay some dues if you can. In the interest of
recruiting, it would be great if someone made up a nifty flier to post
in the locker rooms and at various other places where it might be seen.
I'm even willing to let you put me as a point of contact on the flier.
So, is anyone willing to volunteer to do this?
Are there any other ideas for increasing membership? Perhaps a stroke
clinic or something similar on the 1st Saturday of the month? Something
to attract and retain novice swimmers would be good.
