ow close are you to Houston? I have a friend who
is a coach in that neighbourhood. He was also an
Olympic pair skater back in 1994 and got the US bronze in
1993 and 1994 in pairs at the US Nationals. He also
once beat Todd Eldredge at Southwesterns way back. He
sent me the tape of it. His name? Todd R. Reynolds. He
skated with Karen Courtland who has gotten married since
then and is now a coach where Shae-Lynne Bourne and
Vicor Kraatz train.
'll watch for it.
I took some accounting
courses in college also. I was a business major. Most of
the students found the accounting course difficult,
but I had a knack for it. I loved it. I traded stocks
for a little while, but now I'm a rancher which I
love even more.
I've only ice skated once in my
entire life. Living in the southern US, you don't find
many ice rinks, and when you do they are usually for
hockey teams.
ublished before in news pagers. Plus, I'm a poet
and have one of my poems in a book called Golden
Apples 1981 back when I was 19. Also have been on TV and
radio singing and playing my guitar when I was 20. Then
there was my marriage to Dan. Christine was born in
1984 and Pam was born in 1986. Then came my chance to
go to college to take accounting for which I have a
deploma. Then I worked in accounting for a while until I
have a severe car accident that put me out of work for
over a year. Then I got into vounteering. And this
year I have added learning to figure skate. I get my
new skates on Thursday and try them out Thursday
night. I'll be bringing my Plastic World cd to skating
on Thursday. Can't wait. I'll be at my Elvis Stojko
Chat 19794118
thought you'd been figure skating for a while.
You've probably told me before, but my memory is a bit
lacking sometimes. So you don't even know what kind of
questions they'll ask, do you? I don't want to make you
nervous, but just think, Elvis, Kurt Browning, and all
those other Canadian skaters will probably be reading
what you say.
've just started out this past October. I'm no
where near ready for competitions or shows. I'm suppose
to get interviewed as a fan not as a skater. Well
I'll find out what it will be about when it happens.
ou must really love skating to put that much time and effort into it. Do you
ever do any shows? Like ice capades. How about competitions? Have you been in
many and how did you do?
skate in the morning on Friday and in the
evening I'm leading a youth group at my church. Multi
functioning. LOL

Ordered my Christmas present. New free
style skates, Donald Jackson Competitors with Mark V
Blade. Join a figure skating club, Tecumseh arena today.
Ok it was yesterday. I didn't sleep yet and it 's
Friday now. Got myself free coaches too.
read on your calander that you skate on
Fridays.
Is that mornings or evenings? If it's evenings and
you can't make the chat let me know. I'd like to set
up a time when we can get together and chat also.
hat's too bad he dosen't have internet access,
but it's great that your getting the interview. I
hope you'll be posting the details since some of of us
aren't in Canada and won't get to see it
otherwise.
Is there a web site where we could read it?
on't happen at this club after all unless the reporter gets internet access.
Barb said that he doesn't have internet access so he will be telephoning me to
interview me. Sorry gang.

know what time yet. I gave Barb at the CFSA the info
about this club and my Ph # to give to the reporter of
the Toronto Star. It's to happen some time this week.
Who knows, maybe he'll come here to ask questions of
you guys.

Also, anyone with info on the date
and times of skating events to be shown on Canadian
and American TV, reg, cable, satilite, please place
them in the calendar. Thanks.

Well, I have to
eat lunch and get ready to skate this
afternoon.
God Bless.
ope you all had a great New Year's Eve and will
have a New Year in 1999. Now don't do like the guy who
use to be called Prince said and "Party Like It's
1999". LOL I know. I know. That was lame. I just wanted
to start you year off with a smile.
ome of us need to take the time to think about
what we want to say before we hit the post message
button. When are you going to Barrie again. Will it be
next year (1999)? That's a whole year away. LOL Say hi
to Elvis and the whole Barrie gang for the club and
myself please. Thanks. Maybe ask him to come to the club
some time online for a chat, maybe fill out the the
guestbook at Elvis Stojko King of the Ice
http://members.tripod.com/~Gitta/Elvis-Stojko.html He could also
say what he thinks about the poll
of his short programs. Tell us fans if we are way
off in our predictions or on the money. LOL
isiting relatives, friends in person, watching
skating on TV, skating at the rink and looking for new
free style skates to skate in. Well the last one only
me. happy New Year everyone and a happy birthday to
all New Years babies and my mom.
here is everyone here? I can't believe not one
person had anything to say in the last week! Come on I
know you can think of something. One more month until
Elvis skates to retain his Canadian title! Hey now
that's something to talk about. Happy NewYear
everyone!!!
hat are your thoughts about Elvis' role and the
job he did on the special that was shown on NBC Dec.
19th, 1998 at 3pm ET? I thought he did a really nice
job. He sure can act. I laughed the whole time his was
in that funny looking gargoil outfit. I think Elvis
should get to keep the angel outfit for his wedding when
he gets married some day. He really looked sharp in
it.
ou all know what Elvis did for Canada in Nagano.
You all know what he did for the kids in sports. You
all know how Elvis showed that it is not if you win
but that you display a winning attitude no matter
what comes your way and not to give up. Let's nominate
Elvis Stojko in the field of outstanding sportsmen and
humanitarian at the url http://www.gov.on.ca/mczcr for the
Order of Ontario.
o cheer up Elvis after this past weekend, you
can send Elvis a dedication through Chum FM which he
listens to at home and in Barrie with this email address,
chumfm@...

I already did and I chose "Can't Get
Enough Of You Baby" by Colin James. I have no idea what
the rest of the words are only that I like the title
and it has a nice tune.
