on't you have a map to look up Sugarland Texas? It's probably one of those
subburbs or hick towns. So the type on the map will be really small.

ow close are you to Houston? I have a friend who
is a coach in that neighbourhood. He was also an
Olympic pair skater back in 1994 and got the US bronze in
1993 and 1994 in pairs at the US Nationals. He also
once beat Todd Eldredge at Southwesterns way back. He
sent me the tape of it. His name? Todd R. Reynolds. He
skated with Karen Courtland who has gotten married since
then and is now a coach where Shae-Lynne Bourne and
Vicor Kraatz train.

'll watch for it.
I took some accounting
courses in college also. I was a business major. Most of
the students found the accounting course difficult,
but I had a knack for it. I loved it. I traded stocks
for a little while, but now I'm a rancher which I
love even more.
I've only ice skated once in my
entire life. Living in the southern US, you don't find
many ice rinks, and when you do they are usually for
hockey teams.

ublished before in news pagers. Plus, I'm a poet
and have one of my poems in a book called Golden
Apples 1981 back when I was 19. Also have been on TV and
radio singing and playing my guitar when I was 20. Then
there was my marriage to Dan. Christine was born in
1984 and Pam was born in 1986. Then came my chance to
go to college to take accounting for which I have a
deploma. Then I worked in accounting for a while until I
have a severe car accident that put me out of work for
over a year. Then I got into vounteering. And this
year I have added learning to figure skate. I get my
new skates on Thursday and try them out Thursday
night. I'll be bringing my Plastic World cd to skating
on Thursday. Can't wait. I'll be at my Elvis Stojko
Chat 19794118

thought you'd been figure skating for a while.
You've probably told me before, but my memory is a bit
lacking sometimes. So you don't even know what kind of
questions they'll ask, do you? I don't want to make you
nervous, but just think, Elvis, Kurt Browning, and all
those other Canadian skaters will probably be reading
what you say.

ou must really love skating to put that much time and effort into it. Do you
ever do any shows? Like ice capades. How about competitions? Have you been in
many and how did you do?

ome of us need to take the time to think about
what we want to say before we hit the post message
button. When are you going to Barrie again. Will it be
next year (1999)? That's a whole year away. LOL Say hi
to Elvis and the whole Barrie gang for the club and
myself please. Thanks. Maybe ask him to come to the club
some time online for a chat, maybe fill out the the
guestbook at Elvis Stojko King of the Ice
http://members.tripod.com/~Gitta/Elvis-Stojko.html He could also
say what he thinks about the poll
of his short programs. Tell us fans if we are way
off in our predictions or on the money. LOL

hat are your thoughts about Elvis' role and the
job he did on the special that was shown on NBC Dec.
19th, 1998 at 3pm ET? I thought he did a really nice
job. He sure can act. I laughed the whole time his was
in that funny looking gargoil outfit. I think Elvis
should get to keep the angel outfit for his wedding when
he gets married some day. He really looked sharp in
it.

ou all know what Elvis did for Canada in Nagano.
You all know what he did for the kids in sports. You
all know how Elvis showed that it is not if you win
but that you display a winning attitude no matter
what comes your way and not to give up. Let's nominate
Elvis Stojko in the field of outstanding sportsmen and
humanitarian at the url http://www.gov.on.ca/mczcr for the
Order of Ontario.
