Hi
Karen,
I
had a bar installed over the front wheel that has a horizontal pull on it so I
can easily move the trike and also attach a light to the vertical part of the
bar. I have a papillon (very small dog) and he enjoys running with the
bike and also riding in the basket in the rear. The bike trails have
mileage markers so you can judge your speed. In and around my home I know
the approximate mileage one place if from another but don’t really worry
about how fast I’m going. The USX is built for comfort not for
speed and at 71 I’m also not built for speed! Enjoy your rides!

Subject: [ez3-usx] Hi! New and questions
Hello all! I got my usx about 7 months ago and
just love it. I'm amazed how comfortable and fun it is. In fact, I just got
back from a quick 5-mile evening ride. The dog went for part of it. He loves
riding with me and I love that he can't knock me over when he wants to chase
after a squirrel!
That said - I'm curious about a couple of things
1/ How have you guys connected lights to the front of the bike for night
riding. I have a great planetary light, but right now just hold it in my hand.
Which is nice cuz I can wave it any direction to get attention, especially when
I need to signal for a turn. BUT, it would be nice to have one I don'thave to
hold. I just want it to be removable. I don't want to ride around ALL the time
with some big thing protruding from the bike stem.
2/ What bike computers seem to connect to/work well on the usx? I'm curious how
far I'm riding and how fast I'm averaging. But most of them look to expensive
or too tiny.
3/ For those without computers, is there a way to estimate how fast I'm riding?
Know what I love most about the usx? The variety of people (from 85+ grandma's
to little kids all the in-betweens) who grin when I ride by and holler
"SWEET RIDE!"
