Re: [ez3-usx] Clipless Pedals & Headlights

Hi Lois: Sorry, I can't help you on the clipless pedals but my feet have fallen off the USX at a very bad time. So it is a good idea.
For the head light, I use the El 300 by Cateye. They have several headlight versions available. Make sure you have a highvisibility tail light. In addition, we put a highly reflective safety vest on the back of the seat and they show up very well.
Have a great day!

Hello!

As some of you may recall, I ride an EZ3-SX rather than a USX and I have a reqest for information which I hope all of you who have any information for me will respond as soon as possible.

I'm interested in changing to clipless pedals.  I think it will benefit my riding experience and help my feet not to slide off which they have done on occasion.  My problem is, I don't really know what is the best clipless pedal for our type of recumbent bikes.  I've heard the Speedplay Frogs are good and I believe Shimano has a clipless on one side and the other side is for normal footwear.  If you can give me some opinions on this I'd sure appreciate it!

Also, I would like some good headlights as we often ride in the evening (sometimes after it is completely dark).  Although I would like good headlights I can't afford extremely expensive models.  My EZ3-SX has handlebars so I can attach lights to it.  If any of you have had any experience with good headlights that show the road in the dark, your input would be appreciated on this as well.

Thank you!
Lois
