Antonio Spurs' orthopedic specialist, held the X-ray of
Eric Snow's left thumb up to the light behind the
76ers bench, he wasn't examining an injury as much as
he was looking at a suddenly fractured
future.

Snow, the veteran point guard who was bringing some
order to the chaos prevalent on the court in the
preseason, was not included in the daily injury report
Monday for the first time since training camp
started.

After less than a half of last night's 94-75 loss to
the Spurs, he was back on it. Snow suffered multiple
fractures of his left thumb in the final minute of the
second quarter. He was scheduled to undergo a bone scan
and see Dr. David P. Green, of the San Antonio Hand
Center, this
morning.

<a
