Most of you know me as the Wednesday evening running coach. You will also know that I am a firm believer in the gains to be made from becoming more EFFICIENT at running (and biking and swimming!).
Drills are an important part of this process, but efficiency really begins with understanding how YOU move and WHY you move as you do.
THEN you can be more specific with your training. THEN you can prevent recurring niggles and injuries (ever wondered why the same injuries keep coming back?). THEN you will see improvements from consistent, quality, efficient training.
Myself and Rob Gauld are holding a series of 3 workshops (one for each triathlon discipline) in July and August. Through the use of pilates based exercises on equipment, we will look at how you move and help you to understand why and how you do the things you do.
Some of the questions we can help you answer are:
• Why do you find it easier to breathe to one than the other when you swim?
• Why do your legs drag in the water?
• Why does your back hurt on the bike?
• Why do you find it so difficult to run when you come off the bike?
• Why are your calves always tight?
• Why do the same niggles or injuries keep coming back?
