Hi,
I would be grateful if you could circulate this round your clubs if possible.
Many thanks,

Age Group Workshop a Success
"John Dargie, National High Performance coach, gave a very inspiring
lecture at a recent workshop in Stirling, covering aspects of the
'performance cycle' and how this relates to individual needs analysis in
relation to our day to day training & coaching. Billed as a workshop for
age-group qualifiers for the GB team, the session was open to anyone
interested in Triathlon.
A mixture of triathletes of all abilities came along to the session and
found the talk both interesting and informative. As a regular club
athlete with modest ambitions to improve my performance in the sport I
found the principles easy to understand and have started to include
these in my training, giving me greater focus, meaning and structure to
my training and racing plan.
No doubt anyone who takes on board the advice and improves the quality,
rather than the quantity, of their training in relation to their
individual needs analysis will be able to achieve both their short &
longer term goals in a smarter way, with less risk of injury. I would
urge anyone who is interested in improving their performance in the
sport (and who isn't!) to come along to invest a few hours of their time by attending the next workshop, and judge the quality of the
advice/guidance for themselves."
Thanks again.

The next workshop takes place this Sunday 14th May 10am till 1pm at the sportscotland offices at the Gyle, contact Tom Chambers at ageservices@....
