Fellow umpires,

The EOLL Board of Directors is in the process of purchasing a new
shed for the fields which among other things is going to be used as a
break/rest area for our umpires. The shed will be 14' x 18' with a
square footage of approximately 250 sq ft.  I am in the process of
completing the final details of the shed and would like to get some
input from the umpires. I have received an offer for two types of
lockers to be donated and installed for umpire use. I would like to
know what type of locker the majority of umpires would prefer should
we elect to install them.

The first type of locker is a normal locker with a door that could be
secured. This locker would be approximately 12 inches wide and 36
inches tall. Would this type of locker be useful for folks to place
their gear in?

The other type of locker that has been offered is an open locker such
as the ones used in the professional locker rooms. This would have a
place to hang clothing and put gear onto a shelf. This locker would
be approx 24" wide, full stand up height, and 30" deep and would not
have a door on it. Would the majority of us prefer this locker?

The shed will be air-conditioned and have tables and seating. We are
looking at several ideas for  different items to be placed into the
shed for everyone's comfort.

If you have an idea, suggestion, or donation that you would like to
offer I would like to hear from you. Please understand that the space
will be limited and as much as I would like to make this the Ritz
Carlton for umpires I am limited with what I can do.

Hey fellow umpires,

Just as much as you enjoy the Majors and up divisions so do I, but
PLEASE if you have some spare time could you check out the rookies
games. They might not be as fast paced as the others but that's the
benefit. You get a break. If you can I am looking for possible coverage
for the Rookie Bats Sat 3/1/08 at 4:oopm. I am actively recruiting my
parents too so that I can guide them along into joining us.

The EOLL Spring 2008 schedule in Excel format has been posted to the
EOLL_UMPIRE group in the Files section.

The database has been populated with the Spring 2008 games and is ready

Hello Umpires. This is Paul Jacas. Manager of a girls Junior/Senior
softball team. Just saying that Im looking forward to another great and
fun season of sports with our great kids. Don't forget to sign up for
