I agree, Downing is not world class, Becks is still the best crosser of the ball
and gives that extra dimension on free kicks.
Its all coming together.....keep the faith!

hands with glee when McClaren was appointed - he has learnt all he knows
from Eriksson and the recent game against Croatia showed that.
We have the players, now it is about giving them the confidence and
freedom to know that they can do a good job in a major tournament.
Domestically Paul Jewell and Martin O'Neill have shown what you can do
with limited resources. Its about time the fans were rewarded
internationally after so many years of disappointment.
Why drop Beckham? The guy is still one of the best crossers of a football
in the world game. Stewart Downing is not international quality.
