KING OF THE HILL PRESS RELEASE
The Fast Eddy Organisation are pleased to announce the dates for King
Of The Hill and Fast Eddy 3 hr race at the Sweet Lamb Motor sport
Complex in Mid Wales. On the 12th and 13th July 2003 the hills in
Wales will be alive with 150 competitors from all over the country
going head to head at one of the best venues in Mid Wales for
motorsport on Sat 12th July at 12.00 pm riders will be lined up in
groups of 4 and will race up a specially designed 700 meter hill to
test both rider and machine. The event will be like a knock out
competition where the first two riders will continue through to the
next round and the remaining two going out of the competition. With
heats, quarterfinals, semi finals and a grand final in each class (3
classes pro, ex, clubman). It's the first time ever an event like
this has taken place in this country and yet again the Fast Eddy
Organisation has provided riders in the UK with something new, Fast
Eddys Paul Edmondson said "you see these events on Eurosport and in
America yet no one in the Uk ever try's to do something similar, so
we decided to be the first and give the lads and spectators something
totally unique and different".
After the Hill climb there will be a live band and a hog roast on Sat
evening for riders, spectators and anyone else who is camping for the
weekend (there is a small charge for the hog roast).
On Sun morning at 10.30 am the hill will be back alive with a
3 hour Fast Eddy (non championship) cross country race for all
classes, with prize money available for the riders and admission at
only £3 per adult per day its going to be a great weekend for both
riders and spectators.
he event is signposted from llangurig via the A470 Newtown to
