This weekends event at Proteus Camp has been called off today Tuesday
10th Feb at 13.15pm. After a track inspection this morning the land is
lying too wet. Also some robbing person has pinched all our pink and
yellow plastic posts (500 in total) which we left up there ready for
this weekends event. So if you know of anyone who has been offered
these posts to let us know. This round will not be re scheduled up at
Proteus Camp but we will re run it at another event. All riders booked
in for this event will be contacted sometime in the next 2 days and
offered a refund or a credit for another of our events. Any problems
please call the office 0116 2202332
Regulations are now available for the first round of the 2009 ACU /
Metzeler British Enduro Championship. Organised by Diss MCC, the EMG
Muntjac Enduro will again be a one day event in Thetford Forest using
a similar format to the successful 2008 event.
Sponsored by long term supporter of Diss MCC events - EMG Motor
Group, the event will consist of a 22 mile lap of forestry going with
a 2.2 mile special test.
As riders will know, this is one British Championship event that can
be ridden irrespective of the weather conditions and with challenging
check times, it is a very popular choice for riders.
Entries will be limited to 220 riders and as the event is guaranteed
to be heavily oversubscribed, it will be essential to get entries
returned ASAP. Regulations are available from www.dissmcc.co.uk or
from the Secretary of the Meeting Bev Allum, 2 Riverside Cottages,
Wortham Ling, Diss, Norfolk, IP21 2SU.
See www.dissmcc.co.uk for the start list for Sunday's final 2008 EMG Eastern Centre championship round in Thetford Forest - a full house of 152 riders!!!
DYFI ENDURO 6th & 7th SEPTEMBER 2008
Due to the bad weather of this week, MWTRA contacted the met office ate
this afternoon and they issued us with a SAVER WEATHER WARNING for RIDAY
and SATURDAY with rain for SUNDAY.
In the interests of safety the organisers have decided to cancel this
event, the expected low cloud would make it difficult if there was an
accident for the air ambulance to fly, it will be back in the calendar
for next year.

Monday 25 August saw Woodbridge MCC host round 4 of the 2008 EMG Eastern Centre Championships at the testing sandy event. Good weather at last greeted the 120 riders and the conditions were excellent. The special test comprised the whole second and third lasp of the event and posed a stiff challenge to all but the few.
Aston Bird Aim KTM has won every round in 2008 and stamped his authority on both tests - nearly 24 seconds faster on his first test and nearly 10 on his second. Jake Nicholls top UK motocross rider was trying his hand at enduros but could not match Bird's pace - aprticularly in the 2 tests. Julian harvey, currently secodn in the Centre Championships was next fastest. The sting in the tail was the lap times which were reduced to 16 minutes for the last lap. Both Bird and Nicholls raced at full MX pace and managed to get in on their minute and Julian Harvey, James Yearley and Mark Chapman took the next 3 positions but dropped a minute on the final lap.
Mark Parker took the expert win from Phil Maltby with Jake Morphey taking third with only Parker cleaning the experts final lap. Lots more clubmen managed to stay clean on time and Adam Leeks took the clubman win from Craig Roper and Andy Quorn.
Start your race preparations by reading our final instructions where
you will find everything you need to know to make the 2008 Dawn to
Dusk a weekend to remember.
There is just over a week to go untill the start of this years event.
The Dawn to Dusk is now in its seventh year and we try each year to
make it bigger and better than the last. This year we have achieved
this by arranging for the event to be televised for the first time
(see below for more info).
As of Monday 11th August we closed the Dawn to Dusk entries but don't
worry as if you haven't entered yet there are still a few spaces
left. To find out more about how to take part in this years Dawn to
Dusk http://www.dawntodusk.co.uk/
We are all excited about Cambridge Television filming this years
event for the Extreme Sports Channel. This is something completely
new for the Dawn to Dusk and we hope it will continue for the
following years.
Cambridge Television will be at the event with several cameramen
based at various prime locations on the track, including a crew of
travelling cameramen to get even better shots of the action. In
addition to this the host of the show (Austin Vince) will also be
floating around and will be keen to get comments from the riders. So
who knows you may even be one of the first Dawn to Dusk competitors
to be on TV...........

Very sorry to say that our 2 man enduro scheduled for 10 August - a round of the 2008 Bowers 2 man Championship has had to be cancelled. The farmers fields we need to run the event have not been harvested due to bad weather - and each day it seems to rain more so there's now no chance of it being sorted by Sunday.
We are very sorry and very frustrated as we had to cancel last year's event too with a foot and mouth threat. We will try very hard to make it third time lucky next year!!!!
Final Round of the spectacular SCEC/Rogershill Raceway evening
