The 2006 Enduro season has got off to a flying start with the
announcement from the Fast Eddy Organisation that Putoline Lubricants
have become a title sponsor for what will now be known as the
Putoline/Fast Eddy 2006 Cross Country Championship series.
Six events are planned, with over £7500 in prize money and products
for the overall Championship placed riders, in addition to prizes for
the winners of each event.
In the Pro class there is £2000 up for grabs for the top rider with
cash prizes going down to 10th place. Even the Experts and Clubmen
get in on the act with prize money for the overall top three riders
in each class. New for this year is the Novice class with a huge
quantity of product prizes up for grabs.
To qualify for the overall championship places, five results from the
six rounds will count for Pro riders but for Expert, Clubmen and
Novice all rounds will count. Each event will consist of two races,
one morning and one afternoon.
The morning race will host four groups of riders; Clubman 125 two
stroke and 250 four stroke, Clubmen Open Class 2 stoke, Clubmen Open
Class four stroke and the new Novice class. The afternoon race sees
the Pro's mix it up with two groups of Experts; two stroke and four
stroke.
As with all Fast Eddy events, full insurance cover will be provided
by the AMCA, who will also deal with bookings. Entry forms will be
available from the AMCA web site from February 1st.
Paul Edmondson had this to say: 'Everyone at the Fast Eddy
organisation is thrilled to have Putoline on board as the series
title sponsor. Putoline have made a great financial input to this
coming series which will allow us to pass this on to riders in the
form of cash and product prizes which will really be worth going for,
and not just for the Pro riders. Every class is covered with
excellent prizes and the newly introduced Novice bracket will give
the less experienced riders something to try for. We can't wait for
the season to start.'
Details of the event dates and venues will be released very soon and
entries are expected to be coming in thick and fast.
