4hr SINASALO FOREST ENDURO ….HARE SCRAMBLE WITH A SPECIAL TEST!!!!!
"After the bad news of having to cancel the hare scrambles planned
for 17/18 dec the W.O.R team are pleased to announce an exciting
change to the events planned for SAT 31st dec and SUN 1ST JAN 2006.
With the ever popular race experience day taking on a new guise in
the form of a half day format on sat 31st dec consisting of
practice/advice and mini race (half day-9am till 12pm) .The junior
solo classes 65cc, 85cc, 125cc will then go out for a 1.5 hr hare
scramble starting at 1pm sat 31st December instead of the planned
Sunday am slot.
Starting the new year with a fresh, fantastic, forest venue the W.O.R
team in conjunction with new 2006 sponsors, SINASALO race wear will
run a 4 hr team or 3hr solo Enduro/scramble…with the classes being
expert S1 & S2 clubman S1 & S2, veterans(0 40) and sportsman in the
3hr event.
There will now also be an expert 2man/clubman 2man/sportsman 2man in
place for the 4 hr event.
To put it simply the solo riders will just finish as normal at the
3hr point and the 2 man teams will keep going for an extra hour.
As always trophies will be given to the top 3 in each class, However
in all classes in the event some special awards will be made, the
rider with the FASTEST LAST LAP in each class will receive a set of
SINASLO riding kit (shirt/gloves/pants), this in effect makes the
last lap a special test. (TIMED TO THE SECOND)
For the 2 man teams the FASTEST LA ST LAP (done by whichever rider)
will win them £50 each in vouchers redeemable with SINASALO.
Again with a new fresh concept and quality support W.O.R hopes to get
a great response from riders that ride in this event.
The circuit (B4391 Bala to llangynog) is at a brand new, unused
forest (NOT THE BALA BIG ONE VENUE) 5 minutes outside bala that will
be approx 25 mins a lap, consisting of flowing fire roads, clear fell
areas, 4x 4 link lanes along with some dark tree work, the woods are
nicely spaced and thinned with a hard standing soil under foot
ensuring that the ruts and wet areas do not become unrideable. (Like
the Bala big one).the majority of the event is on hard lanes.
The parking is also hard standing although will be restricted to the
side of the fire roads very like a Mid Wales event at Colstey or Ceri
forests.
