Regulations available for possibly the last Breckland Two Day

As from the 2nd Jan 2005, regulations will be available for the ever
popular Diss MCC EMG Ford Breckland 2005 Enduro.

Due to be held over the weekend of 5th and 6th March, the event forms
round one of the 2005 Motul British Enduro Championship and as ever,
it is essential that applications for regulations and entries are
returned as soon as possible to save disappointment.

Whilst the entry always fills up in record time, this year's event
will generate a lot more interest as it looks to be the last time the
club will running a two day British Enduro Championship in this
section of forest due to the loss of the land. Whilst the Forestry
Commission have offered a number of alternatives, the future does not
look good as none of the areas suggested are really suitable for
running a two day event with 300 plus riders.

The good news is that the 20th running of this prestigious event will
go ahead in March 2005 with continued support of EMG and Texaco and
most of the route is already planned consisting of a 50 plus mile lap
with four time controls. As the Forestry Commission has not
undertaken any felling in the area, unlike last year when the check
times were quite slack on time, expect a more challenging pace to be
set which will hopefully make up for the event not having two
separate special tests.

Riders who have ridden the event before will know the course always
proves to be passable irrespective of the weather conditions and is
suited to riders of all abilities. Entries are open for the following
classes - Championship, Expert and Clubman.

As per the last two events, the club are employing the services of
the police to supervise with the road crossing so make sure your bike
is properly taxed and insured.

The event will also be running under the class structure E1, E2 and
E3 in line with the 2004 World Enduro Championship which will lead to
fierce competition for the top 15 points scoring places in these new
sub classes with two strokes head to head with four strokes in all 3
groups.

If you require regulations print them off now from:
www.dissmcc.co.uk/breck2005_regs.pdf or if you can wait for the post
send an SAE for a set to the Secretary of the Meeting, Bev Allum, 2
Riverside Cottage, Wortham Ling, Roydon, Diss, Norfolk, IP22 1SU.
