A new off-road motorcycle club has been formed in the Lampeter /
Llandysul / Llanwrda area of West Wales. The Club will be known as
Dyfed Dirt Bike Club and is affiliated to the ACU's West South Wales
Centre. Club meetings are held at Lampeter Rugby Club on the last
Monday of every month, commencing at 7.30pm. New members from any
motorcycling discipline are most welcome.

The Club have already attracted close to 50 members and although
mainly Enduro, Cross Country and Trail riders, the membership
consists of enthusiasts from motocross, quad racing, sidecar enduros,
trials and grass track.

Dyfed D.B.C. have plans for two events this year, the first a "Hare
and Hounds" event to be held on May 16th at Talsarn, Lampeter – at
the well known top Welsh Motocross Venue. Using the moto-x track,
nearby woodland and two adjoining farms, a lap length of between 6 –
10 miles of varied going is anticipated. The event will cater for
Solo Motocross and Enduro riders, Quads and Sidecars.

The second event will be held on September 5th, and will be a full
blown Enduro using a large Forestry Plantation and some 1000 acres of
mountain and moorland going. With the Club being able to call on
experienced Enduro men and former British team riders; Calvin
Williams and Aled Williams, both events should certainly be
interesting, challenging and fun for all level of rider.
