The opening round of the 2008 Putoline XC Championship series kicks
off on January 19-20th near Condover, Shrewsbury.
Fasteddyracing.com's Paul Edmondson will once again be at the helm
for this prestigious seven round Championship series and the opening
round looks to be a treat. Yet another new track, covering 100 acres,
which will run no matter what the weather, will see half of the area
as a `special test' type course and the other half as moto-x style
layout with jumps, rhythm sections etc.
The parking area is excellent and plentiful with easy access on and
off the course, which will provide an interesting start to the
series. The layout of this new course will give roughly a 50-50 split
to encourage both enduro and especially moto-x riders to get some
bike time in before their season begins in earnest. This is an
excellent opportunity for MX riders to get some competition time
under their belts, the Clubman AM race lasts for 2 hrs and the
Pro/Expert PM race runs for 2.5hrs.
Entries are already piling in following the success of last seasons
series of events and 2008 looks set to be the biggest and best
Putoline XC Championship so far. The event will be signposted from
the A49 Shrewsbury to Hereford Rd.
