PLEASE do not do this. These are meant to be early notifications to

material we have to offer, and competition for these items is usually
tough enough as it is! We do not desire them advertised on any other
medium (if we did I would post them myself, but I never have and
never will).

I have been accused in the past of making such posts under a false or
assumed name for self-promotion purposes (there are a lot of cynics
and naysayers online, as you all well know). I am proud to say I
have NEVER posted anything anywhere that I did not sign my name to and do not
want it done by others. We do not even post ads on forums we SPONSOR, much less
feel the need to promote ourselves elsewhere on the net!

Besides, only those who have FFL's *already* on-file with us are
allowed to order any firearms (we no longer "hold" anything or accept
an order for anyone if their license is not on-file), and I would
really hate to disappoint anyone not familiar with our Terms of Sale
and did not realize that.

on a public forum will be immediately BANNED from our mailing-list. This has

After our last "update" email I wanted to say THANKS to the literally thousands
of customers who emailed us with condolences.  There were waaay too many to
persoanlly respond to, and we do appreciate the sentiment.

Now down to business:

This "New Stuff" list is a bit different than any other we have ever published.
What we have to offer you today are literally UNISSUED Brazilian Model 1935
contract Mauser rifles in PERFECT condition, all-matching numbers with matching
numbered bayonet (with scabbard, also in new condition).  These were made by
Mauser, Oberndorf in 1937 and (unbelievably) not touched since.

The wood is as pristine as possible (may have a minor ding or scratch, but
likely will not).  All metal that should be blued is 100% deep glossy dark
bluing, the metal that is not blued (such as the bolt and fittings) are a
brilliant silver without any stains.

These rifles have NOT been refinished or have had anything done to them since
they were made 72 years ago in 1937.  The bores are all absolutely PERFECT, and
the old-world workmanship that created these are something to behold.  Nearly
every tiny part on each rifle is serial-numbered and all serial numbers match
(including the bayonet).

Since these are all in the exact same condition, only one photo is provided. 
The only thing missing is the detachable rear sling-swivel and sling (available
from SARCO if you simply must have one).  The leather slings themselves
deteriorated and were discarded years ago.

There has not been any "New Stuff" lists lately as both Desiree and myself have
been dealing with some medical issues. . . getting old is not NEARLY as fun as
it sounds!

Specifically, I was diagnosed with a tumor in my right foot and all that saw me
at the most recent Louisville show got a chance to laugh and poke fun at me as I
had to use a scooter (AKA a "hoveround") to even attend the show (my right foot
just had invasive surgery and was in a soft cast that I wqas unable to walk on).
This issue has been sucessfully resolved and I am now just getting back on my
feet.

Desiree has recently had some upper-body cancer issues and has been  unable to
pack and ship anything (she is getting better every day, however).  It was
obviously pointless to attempt to publish items for sale if they cannot be
shipped propmtly (something we are rightly famous for).

EMPIRE ARMS have been actively buying through all these developments and have
over 60 new handguns and more than 100 new rifles that I have yet to photograph
(it's a little hard to take photos when you are literally unable to stand).  I
hope to tackle that job within the next couple of days if at all possible (I
would not be sending you this message if I did not think it would be).

Just letting you know what has been going on, as we have received quite a few
e-mails wondering if some of you have been kicked off our "New Stuff" list

If any of you have been trying to phone us over the past four days you have
discovered that our phones are not working.  Same story for our FAX machine.

NONE of the telephones within a five-mile radius of our office are functioning
due to the amazing *TWO FEET* of rain that has come down over the last few days,
which has caused massive flooding and knocked out the telephone grid for this
entire area.

It had not rained in over five months and we were in a serious DROUGHT
condition, and now the water simply has nowhere to go.  Nobody knows how long it
will be before our telephone service is restored . . . thankfully we prefer
emailed orders and our internet is working fine so it should not affect us much
(if at all).

Denver was an exceptional show. . . mostly cowboy guns but there were some nice
milsurp items in there as well. I picked up quite a few items from several
customers (thank you Greg, Tom and Joe) and also got a bit of food-poisoning
Saturday night (which did not make being at the show on Sunday any fun at all). 
This is certainly a show worth returning to!

I am currently working on several "New Stuff" lists that features lesser
expensive rifles (including many that are in lesser quality than we normally
offer).  These are mostly items that have been accumulating and they are taking
up much needed space, so it's time for them to go.

We also have nearly a hundred various bayonets which have accumulated over the
past five years that we will be offering as well.  These are items we have
acquired separately. If a bayonet accompanies a rifle we purchase, we always
include the bayonet when we sell the rifle, as I do not believe in "robbing
parts" or accessories from the guns we buy (as everyone who has ever sold us
anything already knows).

Note that we are ACTIVELY BUYING higher-quality milsurp firearms.  We do not
make offers or provide valuations for items that I have not personally seen, but
if you originally purchased the item(s) from EMPIRE ARMS (and have not
refinished it or altered it in any way) we will pay a MINIMUM of 80% (eighty
percent) of what you paid, and sometimes, depending on the item, several
multiples of what you paid. NOBODY ELSE offers anything like this service! 
Simply ship us the item(s) and after examining them we will make an offer.  *IF*
ou offer is *NOT* accepted we will immediately ship the item(s) back to you at
our expense.

Well, that is what is going on around here. . . lots of streets blocked-off due

of Finnish Model 28-76 Mosin Nagant Military Match rifles.  The
purchasers were VERY happy and we received many positive feedbacks.

Fot those (many) of you who primarily collect rifles we are STILL

Happy holidays first of all!

We may seem to have been rather dormant to you, as our last "New
Stuff" list appeared exactly two months ago, but we have actually
been busier than ever HEAVILY buying firearms and selling them almost
as quickly.

We also were attacked by a bout with the killer flu, which put us
literally "down" for over a week. . . I seriously advise those of you
that have not yet been inoculated for the flu to get a flu-shot
immediately so you will avoid being as miserable as we have been over
the past couple of weeks.

Having said all that, we are looking forward to the challenges 2009
will most certainly bring to firearm collectors and those who view
the shooting sports as a healthy family-friendly activity.
