am back alive and kicking from my trip! It's somewhat short notice, but if you feel like partying (before I head out tomorrow), just write me a quick text message to 678-637-7323. Other than that, I wish you guys with all thankfulness all the best.

Hey Dan,
Well, as it turns out, I went over with steph and watched it at my
friend's house. I hopefully have it on DVD, but I couldn't exactly
figure out how to record it, so I am not even sure that it taped.
Anyway, I will let you borrow it if you want. There were some good
fights on there. Unfortunately, the Gracie/Houghs fight was short...
See you tomorrow at class. Any idea who all is going to show up?

I hope you are doing well! Glad to hear from you. You missed a great
seminar with Saotome Sensei, he kept glaring at me...everytime I looked up
there he was looking at me.

I am about to head outta here into the Great Wide Open. As I said yesterday, I had an awesome time with you guys and have learned a lot. I will try to keep you updated if anything spectular happens (scorpion sting etc.) but I'm a terrible communicator over the long distance - however, that don't mean Imma forget you. Goodbye to y'all and take care.

P.S.: visit my home dojo's website, if you like - it's in German, though, but maybe Dan can help out :) whenever you're in Germany and are hungry for good Karate training, this is the way to go!

Brick Store. Down town decatur- from campus go down clairmont
towards decatur, take a left on ponce and it's in the little group of
shops right there where there will likely be no parking and you will
have to drive around and park on the street.
It looks like I won't be able to come and train today or Thursday
but I want to come out to send Jan off on his road trip. Can someone
tell me where the brickhouse is?

I will definitely be going. I will try to
get Steph to come as well. I can take at least two in my car.
Take it easy,

Thank you Lizabeth!
I'll also inform the Emory Karate folks, so maybe
(depending on how many people will be there), we might need one more driver,
but that could maybe be done by a Karate person (to have an equal share).
I would drive myself, but I ain't got a car and I sure
as hell wanna get smashed! :)

Jan-- I'm so sad that we have to send you back to your home country. We should definately go to Brickstore after training on Thursday. I can fit 4 other people in my car.
Everyone-- remember that tomorrow and Thurs are the begining of summer schedule (6:30-8). Getting finished at 8 means there's a whole extra hour of your life after Aikido, so no excuse for not going out for a drink (ahem ahem Andy and Roman) =)
I'll probably embark on my private Odyssey May 10, so I'm thinking of having an early goodbye drink on Thursday 4. The WoodPec will only close at 9pm, so there's enough time for a shower, if we want to go directly after training. What about Brickstore 9pm? Can anybody provide a ride for the others?

The summer class schedule will begin Tuesday, May 2, 2006. Summer
hours are:
Tue/Thu 6:30-8:00
Sun 2:00-4:00
Please remember to pay your Fitness Emory dues at the start of the
semester; you can pay directly to Emory ("aikido club" in the check
memo of any checks), or you can pay indirectly through the club
("aikido club" in the check memo of any checks). If you signed a
waiver since August 2005, you do not need to sign a new waiver.
Remember, you dues goes towards weapons, seminars and other
incidentals incurred by the club, please pay in a timely fashion so
the club may use those funds.
Dear all,
I am one month in Japan as a visiting professor at Aoyama Gakuin
University and yesterday I went to a seminar by Saotome sensei. He
talked about kokyu and its relationship with musubi. (In Austria I
train in the Musubikan dojo). He also talked about the importance of
posture. Of course it was amazing and Nick Kiritz was an outstanding
uke.
Just thought I would drop a line and say I am thinking of everyone and
still remember the great trainings I had at Emory.
Kampai! and train honestly and hard!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone. You have all been very welcoming to
me, big
smiles, etc. And a special thanks to Reading and Magno Sensei's for allowing me
to come
train with you. It has been a while since I've been on the mat, but I am
looking foward to
getting to know each of you and train with you. Thank You
John Bernhard
