Sorry Gang, but between the wind and rain things are getting ugly out
there. I want to protect the fields, so I think we should call things
off for today. Hopefully Monday will be better. Rain showers are fun,
downpours and wind, not so much. Hope to see everyone soon.
Karl
Disc is ON for tomorrow, 5/2, usual time and place.
Appologies for Monday, but with the heavy rain we had all day, we have
to protect the fields from bad damage. Showers off and on like tomorrow
are on thing (supposed to be clear by the afternoon), but heavy rain
all day through Ultimate is another.
Hope to see everyone tomorrow!
Karl
Im still game for ultimate at 5:30 today too and i could probably at least get one other person but does anyone else still want to play?

Hi Guys,
Disc is cancelled tomorrow, 4/28. Playing in the rain is fun, but they
are talking about constant rain all day with heavy downpours around
5pm. Let's plan for Friday instead.
Karl
5:30 or so start time at Brookside. I will likely be late, maybe even
not coming, so try the soccer field or the football field. Hope to see
you guys there at some point.
Pete or Tom- will you guys be on time? If so, e-mail me and I will get
you the team bag tomorrow. Thx.
Hi Gang,
Frisbee is on for tomorrow, Monday, 4/21 at 5:30pm.
THere might be field conflicts so we'll try to play at the football
field but be sure to check out the soccer fields and the lacrosse field
(i.e. the grass parking lot). I should be there around 5:30 but just
hang out up front and I/we'll find you when we get there.
Karl
If you can't play today, you need to change plans!
Hope to see everyone tonight.
I will try to be there at 5:30pm, but it might be closer to 6 before I
get there.
Try to set up on the football field.
See you guys tonight!
Karl
Everyone,
I found a pair of off-white/gray sweatpants on the field on Monday. I
can't make it on Friday, but I'll be there Monday if they belong to one
of our crew.

Just a reminder that disc is on for Monday, 4/14. I might be late- I'm
hoping Tom will be on time to help set up with his cones/discs;
otherwise, I think Nate will be there and I should be able to get him
the equipment bag during the day.
PLEASE SET UP ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD, ASKING THE SOFTBALL PLAYERS NICELY
TO SHARE THEIR OUTFIELD WITH US.
We can shift our field over towards the tall trees, giving them a bit
more space.
Hopefully I'll be there on time anyway.
Karl
Don't let a little rain get in your way! They're talking about light
showers- last time this happened things cleared and we ended up playing
in great weather.
The plan is for Brookside park, but PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO E-MAILS AS
WE MIGHT HAVE TO CHANGE. My cell phone # is below so you can always
call last minute, but it will be hard to reach me after 5:30 since I'll
be out there running around. If we have to change fields, I will let
people know ASAP, but plan on Brookside park, likely on the football
field, for now.
Let me know if you have any questions.

We had a great turnout today- let's try to expand to Fridays as well.
I will check with The Rec Department but we will hopefully be at
Brookside park again, on that football field. Pay attention to e-mails
regarding further info.
5:30 pm start time. Hope to see everyone there.
Karl
Gang,
Disc is On for Tomorrow, Saturday, 4/5, at 3pm!
Brookside Park!
I don't anticipate any congestion issues, but if there is a lack of
field space,
WE WILL BE AT THE PINNEY STREET FIELDS- AT THE INTERSECTION OF PINNEY
STREET AND WINDEMERE AVE. (Directions from Brookside park below)
Remember to bring cleats (if you have them), water, and a white and
dark shirt to help organize teams.
Hope to see everyone at 3pm!

Directions to the Pinney Street Fields- Make a left onto Rt 140 as
you leave Brookside park. Less than a mile up the road is a traffic
light- turn right onto Tomoka Ave. Straight through the stop sign, as
Tomoka becomes Pinney Street. A little more than a mile down the road
is another traffic light- This is Windemere Ave. The fields are on
the corner, on the left.
I would say 3pm. I can’t make it
this weekend but adding another day sounds good with me.

Saturday Disc?
Here's the deal: I'd like to play more often. I was
thinking Friday
but they're talking about torrential downpours. Saturday looks better-
possible rain, but more in the way of showers.
We had a great turnout in the rain on Monday, let's try to do it again
this weekend. (Sunday is out for me).
Reply to this message with your preference:
Saturday AM, 9 or 10.
Saturday PM, 3pm.
Let me know if you can make one or both. I will reply to everyone
tomorrow afternoon and let you guys know if we have a game.

I'm totally down, but not for this weekend. I would, however, be happy
to regularly attend Saturday games at 10 or 3 (preferably 3; i'm usually
still hungover at ten).

Just to let everyone know we had a great turnout yesterday in the
rain. Things dried up pretty quick and it was plenty warm in the 50s.
Unless its thundering with hurricane force winds we'll be out there.
Hope to see everyone on Monday!
Karl
Gang,
We will play tomorrow, rain or shine. Downpours notwithstanding, a
little rain is always a good time! I will be there by 5:30pm. Come on
by- with a little luck we'll be out there running and diving!
Hope to see everyone there,
Karl
Hi Gang,
We had a great turnout for our first game of the season last week.
Let's keep it up this week with even more people there.
Try to get there as close to 5:30pm as possible, but you can come join
us whenever you can get there. I'll be there early setting up the
fields and such, if you want to come early and throw around.
(Brookside Park)
Remember to bring water, a white t-shirt and a dark shirt to help
divide the teams, and cleats if you have them.
See you all tomorrow!
Karl
Hello All!
I hope everyone had a good winter. Its time to pull out those cleats
and find a light and dark shirt because Ellington Ultimate begins NEXT
MONDAY, MARCH 17TH!!!
We had a great preseason "warm up" game last Sunday, and I was psyched
to see a high level of enthusiasm from everyone. Looking forward to
more of the same for the rest of the year.
So . . . . now that we are affiliated with the Rec Department, we will
be moving to new fields- BROOKSIDE PARK, OFF OF Rt 140. Its very easy
to find- if you drive past our old fields on Pinney Street so that they
are on the right, stay straight on Pinney street until you come to a 4
way stop sign, a couple of miles or so up the road. Just ahead is a
traffic light- this is Rt. 140. Hang a left, and a mile or so up the
road is the park on the right. It is approximately equivilant to 75
Sadds Mill Road (Rt 140). Be careful if you mapquest it- the old
entrance is off of Hathaway, and all the online map sites have this
street as the entrance!
Remember, you don't need to live in Ellington to join and play!
We'll start at 5:30pm but feel free to come whenever you can- we'll be
there until dark.
Pay attention to the website/emails as we may change fields to a brand
new park! More details to follow.
Hope to see everyone next Monday!!!! Bring your friends!!!!

Just a reminder that disc is on for tomorrow, 2pm, Sunday.
IT WILL BE AT OUR USUAL LOCATION, THE FIELDS ON PINNEY STREET.
I'll update you guys on all our developments tomorrow.
See you guys tomorrow! Get ready for some snow disc!
Karl
Gang,
Ultimate is on for this Sunday, 2pm.
There may be a bit of snow left, maybe even a bit of mud, but that just
makes it more fun.
Hope to see most of you there at 2pm!
Karl
I had the highest number of positive replies for Sunday at 1 or 2pm.
Caleb, John, Pete, Slicer, Cfiore, Val and Lindsay and I are maybes.
Can all of you still make this time?
Reply back and let me know and I'll send out a confirmation e-mail in
the next day or so.
Karl
Gang-
Anyone want to play on Saturday, 3/1 or Sunday 3/2? I'm thinking
mornings. Please reply back and let me know if you can make Sat, Sun
or both. Once I get a good number of replies I will let people know
when (or if) there will be a game.
Also, we are very close to finalizing a deal with the town of
Ellington. Look for a start date of Monday, 3/17. There will also be a
trial youth program designed for middle school kids, likely starting
Saturday, April 12th. Stay tuned for more information regarding this.
Karl
Hi Gang,
Hopefully winter has treated you all well you're all as anxious as I
am to get back out to the fields to play some disc!
We've got some big, good news- we are currently working with the town
Rec. department to help expand our program. We are in "negotiations"
to make us a an official (free) town-regional program with official
field space at the new High School annex fields. This will also bring
us free advertisement in town Rec. department mailers. I'm hoping
this will help to expand our program a bit and bring in new members.
I will keep everyone updated on the plan. For now, plan on starting
up again this spring, hopefully sometime in March. We will likely
stick with Mondays with tenative hopes to expand to a second day.
Also, we'll try to do more Saturday games.
For now, get excited to be back out here playing in a couple of
months. Spread the word to everyone about Ultimate, and hopefully
we'll get an even better turnout than we did last year.
Karl
