Hey All!
Great game today (well, technically, "yesterday"). Hope to see you all on
Friday!
And now for something completely different...
At Wesleyan, I was a complete nerdlinger (yes, I know -- it's very hard to
believe). I built foam swords (and foam
arrows) and ran around in the woods on weekends killing my friends and stealing
their treasure.
I stopped doing it for a while. Then this spring I went to a game and bumped
into a guy that I had been playing disc
with since 2001. It turns out there's a fairly significant crossover between
"live gaming" and disc (I think largely
because of "the Spirit of the Game", but I digress).
Anyway, I'm running a game at my house (and the adjacent land) on Saturday, June
13th. And I actually think some of you
would really enjoy it. Yes, really. It's certainly more fun that playing games
in front of a computer.
If you've played games like 'Dungeons & Dragons' or 'World of Warcraft', you may
want to build a character and show up
as a "player". Or if you just want to go around as monsters and ambush people,
you can show up as "cast" (that's what
I'll be doing).
Some more info here:

... or just ask me about it at Friday disc.
And now, since you can't have an Ellington Ultimate E-mail without a video,
here's a movie trailer to get you in the
mood for killing people with fake swords.
[warning: this is the version with swear words, because swear words are funny]
