Well, woke up at 7am to a nice morning, dry and light cloud and even
though the forecast wasn't good I went for it. By the time I left the
flat over a couple of hours later it was raining but I was already
committed and decided to continue, I've ridden in worse after all.
Arrived at Colinton with 10mins to spare and waited.
Decided that 10:20 will be the cut off point, and
unfortunately/fortunately (delete as appropriate) nobody turned up.
What with the weather and it being SiTS this weekend I kinda expected
that although I have to say at the time part of me was relieved but,
surprisingly, the greater part of me was really disappointed. As it
was raining, and as I had other committments today, not really
fancying it alone I headed home. Glad I did though as it was
bucketing down by the time I was going along Queen Street towards
London Road.
If I could join you on Sunday rbrtwtmn and/or Stu I definitely would,
however my folks are down. But I am planning on being out loads
hopefully the last week August and first 2 weeks in September so
fingers crossed I can see loads of you then.
Take care out there
Dougie
