The Race of Champions offered some of the most exciting racing during
the event. Each NASTAR National Champion was invited to compete in a one run
winner take all event. Each qualifying racer carried their winning National
Championship handicap into race. The highest handicaps started first and
climbed onto the podium in the finish area. Competitors with a faster
discounted time knocked the racers ahead of them off the podium.
Awards were presented to the fastest alpine racers and the
fastest non-alpine racers (i.e. snowboarders, telemarkers and physically
challenged racers). Awards were also presented to the racers with the fastest
