Definitely a memorable and fun experience!! I took quite a few photos after I swapped with Steve (we each rode 75 - ECC domestiques! ). I'll try to post them tonight.
Thanks to Deb Steighner, Terry Bryan and Maria ? for supporting the ride the whole way.
Highlights of the ride:
- Bike washing at Nates...I feel so much better about my lack of bike cleanliness after seeing how dirty eveyone else's was.
-Deb's chalk marks on the road. We were past the first ones before realizing what they were, but read the second ones. ONLY 115 miles to go.
-Does jogging to the top of the Apalachicola bridge to take a picture after riding 75 miles count as a brick?
-Steve, Rob and Eric bathing together in a narrow brick alley. (It was Eric's birthday)
-Jim was right. The place that was "Better than Moe's" really was better than Moe's Apparently there were some serious food fantasies going on in the lead group during those last few miles. AND there was a Startbuck's next door. A latte for the road. Total post ride satisfaction! Ahhhhhhhh.
