The Timberlake trails are in need of some TLC and some RAIN.
Well we can't make it rain, but some of us had discussed a trail maintenance
day.
The focus would be to do some trimming and to try to cover some of the bare
area's with pine needles collected from the woods. We experimented today by
raking some needles onto the bare areas to see if it would help. If you ride
the trails and find it irritating it was Dave Cornwell's idea. If not, then
it was mine : ) We're hoping it will allow the trials to retain more
moisture and washout less if it does rain.
If you use the trails and can find some time to help clean up a bit, it
would be great.
Drop a note if you can come out for a couple of hours next Sunday July 16,
at 4pm. If you can bring a yard rake, nippers or a tree saw it would be
helpful.
Thanks!
