Come to Tuscany for a week of incomparable bicycling with members of the Chattanooga Bicycle Club. Choose a week of leisure touring, a week of challenging training rides—or both!  For detailed information, please go to www.biketoursdirect.com/CBCTuscany.html. Or download the PDF information and registration kit (412k).

The tours are offered by Best Tuscan Bike Tours, whose owner, Dominick Cerisano—an American “transplant” and Top 25 Racer based in Florence—developed them specifically for members and friends of the Chattanooga Bicycle Club. Dom has designed the rides taking into consideration the terrain of the 3-State 3-Mountain Challenge.

The challenging training tour, from March 26-April 3, is designed for experienced cyclists who want to improve their skills, speed and performance, with activities available for non-riding partners. The training tour is packaged with an eight-week custom training program developed for each participant by Fit to Win Training Solutions’ Mark Fasczewski. Advanced riders will also have the opportunity to ride with former Tour de France pros and regional champions on club rides with the Italian Amateur Racing Team—including the weekly team race.

The leisure tour, from March 19-27, is a relaxed program designed for those who want to increase base miles—in the stunning setting of Tuscany. If you enjoy cycle touring with a touch of culinary decadence, this program is for you.

Both programs feature half- and full-day rides around Tuscany, widely recognized as one of the world's top cycling destinations. Many days include optional activities like walking tours of Florence, shopping tours, wine tastings, cooking classes, and visits to country restaurants to enjoy the best of traditional Italian cuisine. The experience is also designed to give American cyclists a taste of the Italian cycling tradition and to promote a cultural exchange with Italian riders.

There are two reasons to sign up quickly. First, space is limited. Second, each tour will be offered only if 12 or more people send deposits ($300, credit cards OK) by December 1. The registration form is available online.

If you have any questions, please contact CBC’s Jim Johnson at jjohnson@... or 423-756-8907.

See you in Tuscany!
