Here's an update on some other activites,
seminars and conferences that members of B.A.D. and/or PFS
are involved
in.<br>-------------------------------<br><br>PAUL VUNAK (our friend and my
original instructor)and
Larkin Fourkiller will be the featured defensive tactics
instructors at the 2002 Texas Tactical Police Officers
Association (TTPOA) SWAT Conference in Dallas this
January.<br><br>This internationally attended tactical officers forum
will feature some of the SWAT world's best known
operators. In addition to the Fourkiller-Vunak Class, some
of the other instructional forums include Armored
Vehicle Tactics, Dignitary Protection, Hostage Rescue,
Less Lethal Force, Live Fire Room Assault, Officer
Involved Shootings, Sniper Ops, Sub-Guns, and SWAT Tactics
to Win Violent Confrontations. Some of the
instructors include Ron McCarthy (The Father of SWAT), Paul
Howe (Blackhawk Down), and other notables. Larkin and
Paul will be sharing the concepts and philosophies of
Bruce Lee's art of Jeet Kune Do and teaching officers
how win in "those street-fights to the finish."
<br><br>LARKIN FOURKILLER is a personal student of Paul Vunak.
He is a police Captain and a Special Enforcement
Team Commander. Some of his past assignments include:
US Army, SWAT, and commands in the Patrol, Training,
and Criminal Investigations sections. He is a
graduate of the FBI National Academy and has a Master's
Degree in Criminology. He owns his own police tactical
training company (Fourkiller Consulting) where he provides
tactical and technical assistance to police agencies and
SWAT teams throughout the world. Larkin is an
instructor for the world's foremost less lethal company and
his writings have appeared in numerous publications.
<br><br>PAUL VUNAK is the president and founder of Progressive
Fighting Systems. He is a world renown martial artist and
former hand-to-hand combat instructor for the US Navy
SEALS. Paul has trained the FBI, DEA, CIA, numerous
police agencies and elite military units. He has been
featured in more than 40 instructional videos and is the
author of two books and numerous articles. For more
