Wow! Here are the results of one of our members flinging himself far
afield:

At the LAIFC (Los Angeles International Fencing Center, for those, like
me, who are not in the know), our own Mark Wheeler finished 6th out of
52 in their open epee tournament! It was an A2 event with 10 As. He
seeded 8th, then 7th out of the pools with an impressive 5-0 and a plus
15! He lost to Michael Raynis in the round of 8, and since Raynis won
the whole tournament, it's almost like we don't have to count that. :)

And, in addition, he was the only veteran that made it to the top 8.
