Thanks to everybody for your help after that collision Thursday evening.  I'm pretty sure I don't have a concussion, but if I don't wake up tomorrow, you all rock and I am lucky to have you as friends and to be part of such a great community.   just kidding, you all suck and deserve to have living rooms full of snow, as soon as flynn gets a job or chad loans him some money.  Friday goaltimate may be moving to Santa Rita for one week as Evan really wants to play some sand volleyball as well on his last day in town before moving to Beantown.  Call Joel or Evan for gathering times and info.

Box Women's Ultimate would like to announce our tryout schedule for
the 2009 season.  Making it to Nationals every year of our existence
as a team, we know what it takes to be one of the top teams in the
Southwest Region. Box is first and foremost all about a supportive and
competitive team atmosphere - we work hard and fitness is a top
priority! We support every individual on the team in both their
personal goals and within the context of our team goals.  If you are
interested in checking us out, we encourage you to participate in the
upcoming tryout activities! We will hold open practices/mixers until
we officially start tryouts in June. This will give us the opportunity
to get to know everyone interested in trying out and likewise provide
the opportunity for you to get to know us in a more informal setting.

Here are the dates for open practices/mixers:
Saturday, April 18th 10am - 2pm Oakhurst Park in Westminster, CO

Saturday, April 25th 10am - 2pm Oakhurst Park in Westminster, CO

*rainout dates are Sundays for both

Following these open practices/mixers, we will have official tryouts
June 13th 9am-1pm and 24th 6pm-9pm at Oakhurst Park. If you are
interested in trying out for Box but you have conflicts with any of
these dates, please contact:

Check out the attached flyer.  The adult sports sector of Parks and Rec is attempting to start an ultimate frisbee league, again, in Durango.  My guess is that we'd have to be the people to jump start the new league.  The organizational meeting is on Wednesday, April 8 at 7:15 p.m. at the Rec Center.  It might be good to check it out and then decide, if something we want to try.  May be, we could eventually get fields under the lights.....may be I'm dreamin', but ya never know!

I think this is a critical step in pushing ultimate forward in Durango, and having a strong presence at the meeting would really benefit how this all might go down.
